Hey guys. Awesome thread. I’ve had Chef rate my team in the other popular thread. As noted, I need points. Here’s my current team:
12 team H2H. 11 cat (we inc O boards, D boards and fouls). You may not agree with my approach, but I punted assists, trying to make the most of big man stats. In order of draft position (I picked 10th):
1. Steph
2. PG13
3. Ayton
4. Bledsoe
5. Valanciunus
6. G Harris
7. J Allen
8. Rob Cov
9. Nance
10. Ibaka
11. J Bell
12. J Isaac
13. C Levert

I’ve gone off of Jordan Bell recently. Was hoping to do a 2-1 trade with injury-prone G Harris and Bell for Klay. Thoughts? Any other suggestions to get my points up? I know I’ll lose steals, but should still be strong in that dept.

This isn't technically a trade but advice would be appreciated

Markelle Fultz just hit the waiver wire.

Was thinking of picking him up and dropping Trevor Ariza.

Any thoughts? Ariza has been playing really well in preseason but Fultz if right has lots of upside.

Other option is dropping Jordan Bell

I know the Raptor situation is muddled at the moment but I’d wait a bit before parting with JV. He took a step forward last season and is worth holding for now. I’d pass on that deal

Your team can absorb the loss in steals but the move guarantees a locked win in 3s. I like the move. Also, Klay will benefit any time Steph is rested.

It appears that Ariza has a solid position in the rotation while the center timeshare is a concern for Bell. If you want to invest in a Fultz upside play, I’d consider dropping Bell. Fultz is a FG% risk though

Taj Gibson just hit the wire too.

Taj > RHJ?

Too much drama in Minny right now. I’d stick with RHJ over Taj

12tm9CatH2H Start PG/SG/SF/PF/C/U

I think I'm sorely lacking in PG and PF and want to make a 2 for 1 offer for initially a PG. I was thinking of making an offer for either Kemba Walker or Devin Booker possibly dangling Otto Porter but now that I see my roster, I'm gonna need him to fill the PF slot.

My roster consists of the following:

PG: Kris Dunn, Ricky Rubio, Derrick White
SG: Khris Middleton, Evan Fournier
SF: Joe Ingles, Caris LeVert
PF: Otto Porter, Jabari Parker, Kelly Olynyk, RHJ
C: KAT, DeAndre Ayton, WCS

I also took a flier on Derrick White and dropped Avery Bradley (there are just too many guards in LA!).

Thanks for any help/insight you can provide me!

I like the play for Kemba. A Porter+Levert offer should be a good start. 1:1 is just absurd and he might just block you.

Find a PF on the wire. Looney, PatPat, Siakam?

Thanks Erik! How about Porter and Fournier or is that too much? I like LeVert's upside.

Siakam was already drafted but the other 2 are available. Was also looking into Cedi Osman.

Thanks again!

I think Fournier is better than LeVert but pairing him with Porter for Kemba is ok. Perhaps you can ask for a low-end PF as a kicker to make it a 2:2?

Osman is promising indeed and is worth a speculative add for his potential

My current team
Kemba/McCollum/butler/Hayward/Tobias
julis randle/Donovan Mitchell/Ingram
Fultz/Rubio/Gotart/Jarrett Allen/issac
James Johnson in IR spot

Have been offered Drummond for Mitchell?

Should I take it? Should I also trade out butler because of the situation he is in? If he stays in Minnesota will that make things interesting? Chemistry?

Your team is starving for a big man. Yes, I would take Drummond for Mitchell at this point. While he does hurt your FT% a lot, he does chip in decent steals (more than Mitchell), so there's that.

Regarding Butler, I'd entertain offers but try not to look too desperate for an offload (like what the Timberwolves are doing). Make sure you get reasonable value for him but be willing to take a slight hit for the accompanying drama baggage.

Well I took your advice in and just did some big trades

First trade was
Mitchell for Drummond

Second trade (massive)
Ingram/Fultz/Isaac/gortart
For
Capella/Doncic/kyle Anderson

And now I can bring James Johnson off my IR spot. So my team is now

Kemba/McCollum/Butler/Hayward/Doncic
Drummond/Anderson/randle/Allen/Johnson
Harris/Rubio/randle

Wow! You sure did not waste any time on that. Good moves in my opinion. You just turned your team around from "shaky" to "scary." Good luck!
