Welcome to my 2025 March dynasty rankings! Now that we have a sizeable regular season sample and a trade deadline to boot, there has been multiple changes to the rankings board. We can safely assume some players have developed new skills to enhance their fantasy appeal. Or perhaps a change in locale indicates a decline in opportunity in usage is on the horizon. Either way, all these factors and more are incorporated into my updated rankings.
Once again, tiers are a loose guideline. Players within a tier are somewhat close together in my eyes, with factors such as fantasy team state (contending or rebuilding), stat preference, upside, and aging playing a role in stratifying players. Don’t sweat over the actual ranking too much – the general range in which players fall is much more important than the specific ranking. In this version. I’ve also included rank changes to log trends.
At this point in the season, I can feel confident of a player’s improvements to move them up. Cade Cunningham is an example of this. While I’m still not the biggest fan of his shot diet and lack of athleticism, his tough shot-making is at a point I’m comfortable enough projected a high-usage role for him going forward. On the other end, declines in skill are also apparent. Even considering a stacked team, Jrue Holiday appears to be a player clearly on the decline.
I’ve noted the 20 players that have fallen from the Top-350 below, with their previous rank in parentheses. The new 20 players that have entered the Top-350 are also below with their respective rank. Note that for formatting reasons, the new players and rookies entering the Top-350 have their ranks as “0” in the full rankings.

Mark C’s FREE Dynasty Category Rankings – March 2025
Rank Player Rank Change Age Team Notes 1 Victor Wembanyama 0 21.2 San Antonio When Wembanyama develops any further scoring consistency, he will provide so much excess value that the number one spot doesn't do him justice. 2 Nikola Jokic 1 30.0 Denver Jokic has added three-point volume to his game out of necessity. He is truly a 9-category stud. 3 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 1 26.6 Oklahoma City With more volume of threes, SGA nudges just ahead of Doncic. It's still extremely close between the two. 4 Luka Doncic -2 26.0 LA Lakers The change of locale means little for a player like Doncic. He will still be a counting stats monster. 5 Tyrese Haliburton 2 25.0 Indiana Haliburton is looking closer to his peak self, but his creation and scoring usage is still down a few ticks. He'll need to show both can rise back up to move up a tier. 6 Jayson Tatum -1 27.0 Boston Tatum has dipped back to career norms after a hot start. He's still the high-end, steady, reliable player we all love. 7 LaMelo Ball -1 23.5 Charlotte Ball's three-point shooting has fallen off as the season has progressed, but everything else looks great. I'm not overly concerend with the injuries unless there is some substantial news of long-term impact. 8 Anthony Edwards 0 23.6 Minnesota It's hard to judge Edwards given how often defenses have focused in on locking him down. I would expect the triples to dip back down, but maybe Edwards has just unlocked a new part of his game. 9 Chet Holmgren 0 22.8 Oklahoma City Holmgren was showing further signs of growth before suffering the hip injury. Expect the minutes to remain relatively low this season as he ramps back up fully. 10 Cade Cunningham 8 23.4 Detroit Cunningham has progressed enough to bump him up here. I have some lead operator questions with the turnovers and efficiency, but he is at a decent baseline level. 11 Jalen Williams -1 23.9 Oklahoma City Williams has stuttered just a little bit as the second go-to scoring option on the Thunder. He's still awesome and serves up stats across the board; I'm just not fully sure if the assists or scoring will become elite. 12 Giannis Antetokounmpo 0 30.2 Milwaukee Giannis is arguably having his best offensive season. Sure, his stat set is slanted. His category strengths though are overwhelming. 13 Trae Young -2 26.5 Atlanta Young has looked a little sapped from a lingering Achilles injury over the season. Whether his drop in efficiency is due to that or will last long-term leaves me some small questions on his scoring going forward. 14 Tyrese Maxey 6 24.3 Philadelphia Maxey has been able to up his scoring usage even further without much of a drop-off in his efficiency. He's becoming a elite scoring option in his own right. 15 Scottie Barnes -2 23.6 Toronto Barnes is looking less like "The Guy" on offense. His all-around stat set will always be juicy for dynasty managers, but I do question the scoring and on-ball ceiling. 16 Alperen Sengun 1 22.6 Houston I don't really believe the fall-off in FG% is real. Otherwise, as the Rockets improve their shooting and talent, I expect Sengun to have avenues to increase his scoring output and efficiency. 17 Karl-Anthony Towns 2 29.3 New York Towns is back to the height of his fantasy game. With elite boards and solid scoring across points, threes, and efficiency, Towns is a major influencer in more categories. 18 Jaren Jackson Jr. 4 25.5 Memphis Jackson has become a viable points add while maintaining his other categories. This gives him more versatility with team builds. 19 Devin Booker -4 28.3 Phoenix Booker has been mired in a season-long shooting slump. Even with that, the assists and points have still been there. The increase in triples is a welcome sight. 20 Evan Mobley 1 23.7 Cleveland Mobley has improved a demonstrable amount in his drives and field goal volume. I just am not sold if it will get to a strong enough point to leap up further tiers. 21 Domantas Sabonis 3 28.8 Sacramento Adding a three a game is a nice small touch. Otherwise, Sabonis is his usual bruising self. 22 Franz Wagner 12 23.5 Orlando Maybe Wagner's assists tick down with Banchero back, but Wagner's improved usage and shot volume looks here to stay. 23 Amen Thompson 8 22.1 Houston Thompson clearly doesn't need a shot to make a huge impact. The questions of where his offensive game can grow will persist, but the fantasy impact in all stats other than triples are evident. 24 Donovan Mitchell -10 28.5 Cleveland With a more ensemble effort in Cleveland, Mitchell's stats have ticked down slighty. He's still a very effective player, but he won't carry some stats in the sam manner as before. Want to get access to the rest of Mark’s dynasty rankings? You’ll need to have a FANTASYPASS membership.
