Hi all.
My league drafted Monday night. I went in with no prep/ on the fly, so not quite sure what I have here. This is a 10team 9cat 13man roster (with 2 IR) points league. I don’t think the point values are standard so i'm posting them with my team. I drafted from 10th spot.
I'm a little PF heavy, and can likely pick up someone good from the WW, but not sure who to drop. I also have the first WW priory which goes live tomorrow (the 24th).
I picked up Rui after my other final choices had been sniped. Last one in, first one out?

An Extremely big heavy team here with a punt a definite punt assists approach. You're rebounding is going to be strong and while your first 3 picks aren't known for blocking shots, you have enough paired with them that it'll be a strength in this deep of a league. FG% is another strength and you should have low turnovers. You found some people to help you in threes and overall it's a solid free-throw shooting team. Have some steals guys and some people to score. It's a pretty good team with minimal weaknesses outside of the punting category. You may not win the cats every week, but you are in position to do so and the deeper league helps you a bit more. I wonder if there's a more efficient scorer/shooter to fit your team on free agency then Bacon. Overall it's a good team to fit what you want to do. It's boring but effective.
You have two guys who get blocks, but yeah, you'll basically be punting three cats which is extremely tough sledding. Harrell pick is brutal there, but you got Bam, Conley, and Shai right after all well-below market value to lessen the blow. FVV was another guy who went well-below his market value. Teague and Gordon went higher than normal, but it's not bad. The draft was a success overall outside of the mess up with the third pick. You'll need another C since you only have two, but you'll want to get one that shoots treys and/or gets steals since that's what you're going for. Dedmon is a cheap option you could target, WCS (maybe in FA), Nance (a little more expensive but reasonable), Olynyk, and Holmes are guys to target. I'd put Kleber in there for this week and Wood in there for his upside even though you aren't trying for boards. Harrell will be hard to move since you only have two C's but he could go with this build. You're going to be strong be great in threes, assists, and ft%. The team can rack up steals and score points as well. Turnovers are going to be on the higher though. The anti-big man build tends to work less effectively than the anti-little man builds because you back yourself into a corner more, and that's what this team has done. You're giving away 3 cats to start the week and when you go up against another strong shooting/stealing team it's going to be tough to win. You have to win those five every week to win.
Haha man, that's wrong getting stuck that deep. You were dogged from the start with this pick and taking Mitch there gets you the advantage in blocks, but really puts you in a bind everywhere else. With the lack of blocks on the rest of the team, you'll definitely need that from him. You have a lot of shooting and should be pretty good there and in assists. Steals is one of your better cats too. Love is your only plus rebounder and it'll be hard to win there. FG% is going to be a drain. But there isn't much that sticks out in the rest. A big part of that is because of how deep the league is and the long layoffs between picks. Noting was bad, but this spot in a 20 man league doesn't give you the chance to find value, or if it did, I don't see it with the picks. With how deep big men run this year, I think you should have grabbed a few more after Love or incorporated more well-rounded players guys.
Who was your second-round pick? Aldridge or Hield was a reach either way in that pick. You have a lot of shooters and threes are definitely your money category along with points. Outside of Rich and Cov your fg% is a strength as well. Maybe not being the go-to guy anymore, and moving to PF will help them both improve on that. The team can get steals with a few top guys and shoot solid from the line as well. Blocks aren't particularly a strong suit with this team, and neither are boards, but you can take them on a few occasions. Assists aren't a strength either outside of Big Honey. This team was built to shoot and score and that's where the intrigue lies. It's the opposite of what I tend to do, but it's a team that can have some big weeks. I'd want to feel more secure in rebounds, assists and defensively though.
Isaac should have SF eligibility, I'm not sure why that's not the case. He's a tweener, and that's the problem with traditional positional settings in today's fluid game. They are very outdated. You will need to address that issue at some point but forget about it for a second, because you crushed the draft. Kemba at 40? How. Bam went in his pre-October range, Conley in the '60s and Turner at 81 in the seventh round. That's robbery. Even later you got WCJ outside the top 100, Murray and Satoransky around 130. These are just value picks after value picks. Don't be bummed out about the SF, hopefully, Isaac will get it and if not you can trade for one at some point with the stacked assets that you have. You have to be a favorite to win the league this year as your league mates must have fallen asleep at the wheel.
This turned out to be a pretty strong team. You got Fox and Bam at solid discounts. Miles has turned less appealing after the emergence of PJW and the fact that he's probably moving to the 3 where he struggled from, but he could still do the 1/1/1 thing. Collins was a nice late grab giving you another shot blocker and supplementing you in threes and boards. That's fairly late for him. I think you did well overall in rounding out your team. You look solid in boards, blocks, steals, scoring, assists (sneaky Bam and KAT could push for 4 apiece). You have some lower percentage guys in each cat paired with some stronger percentage guys in each, and it'll fluctuate each week. That's enough of an ask when you are solid elsewhere. You can realistically compete in every cat, but I'd say threes is where you would want the most work on. As for the free agents, I'd pick up IT and put him on your IR. I'd also go with Len over Powell and Culver over Hunter. He's got more potential in threes and Teague's latest comments aren't the most encouraging.
Hey man good to hear from you again. Before I start I'll throw one thing at you, the worst thing you can do is overanalyze too much after the fact. it's only going to cause you pain. I'll do it for you! I would have taken Big Honey, I like Butler a lot there. Collins is fine there. Can't get mad at JJJ there. I'd take him over Capela, and LaVine if I was going big. JV's a normal pick there. Huerter and Looney were solid alternatives.
I think your draft went quite well. Your team can definitely score and that'll be your best cat. You have a lot of treys in there as well, with a strong ft%. Assists are going to be among the tops. You can get steals as well and have an upside in blocks and boards. I could roll with this team, and I'd take a step back and realize all the good you did in the draft instead of where you think you messed up. FVV was a very good pick, and JJ Redick was essentially free for the later guys. The free agents are barren with that list. There should be some better options than those. But out og that list WCS (stash on IR) and Barnes (I know yuck) are your best options. OG would be my first drop.
I like this team. I'd ideally try to upgrade Wright using Porter or Oubre since your strength is in the F spot on your bench, but it's a good pairing team. Bam went high at about his high point, and I don't hate it with the way the team turned out. You have a lot of well-rounded guys that contribute across the board and in such a small and position orientated lineup it'ss work nicely. The two C spots in an 8 man lineup look off, but you have that covered well. Fg% (and possibly TO's) may be the only real soft spot(s) in the category department, but this is a well-rounded team to compete in everything on a weekly basis.
You're going to lead the league in assists, that's for sure. And Probably by a wide margin. You should look to move some shortly. You have elite ft shooting overall, some lower guys, but overall strong from the people that take the most. Your team can really rack of the steals and with Curry, you'll always stay good in threes. Points look solid too with a few big guys. Your fg% is surprisingly solid as well, in that those first two names shoot elite for guards. You can use some help in the blocks and boards and I'd look to move the abundance of assists for those. Those and turnovers are where you'll need to make up ground in the future and where the most points can be found. I'd look to target them in a trade or the wire. But you're set up pretty nicely elsewhere.

Hi all,
Thanks again for all your hard work!
This is a 10-team 9-Cat H2H (daily) $200 auction league with 3 keepers (keepers price goes up by $5 from last years draft price).
We ended up drafting last night, so we are missing out on the first week of the season. Some people went after injured players like KD and Klay to stash on the IL, so people will be hitting the waivers when it opens tomorrow.
PG- Eric Bledsoe ($14)
SG- James Harden ($69)
G- Mikal Bridges ($1)
SF- Danilo Galinari ($6, keeper)
PF Bam Adebayo ($18)
F- Myles Turner ($33)
C- Mitchel Robinson ($5, keeper)
C- Draymond Green ($25)
Util- LaMarcus Aldridge ($19)
Util- Delon Wright ($2)
Bench- T.J. Warren ($2)
Bench- Dwight Powell ($1)
Bench- Dennis Schroeder ($2)
Ended up leaving $3 unused 🙁
Some players on the waiver now: PJ Washington, Tyler Herro, Jaylen Brown, Justise Winslow, Derrick Rose, Thaddeus Young, Rudy Gay, Davis Bertans, Willie Cauley-Stein, Cedi Osman, Kyle Anderson, Marcus Morris, Tyus Jones, Dwayne Bacon.... (too many to list out, but the waiver is not dry since its a 10 team league.
From my initial analysis I think I'll be solid in FT%, steals, blocks, TOs, and middle of the pack in REB, AST, PTS, and FG%. I probably won't be great in 3PM.
How do you think this team looks? Should I target any of those players on waiver? I was thinking of dropping Dennis Schroeder. Should I drop Mikal Bridges or Delon Wright? With the wavier being so packed do you think it's smart to have 2 streaming spots open throughout a weekly matchup?
Apologies for the long post, but thank you so much in advance! Keep up the great work!
I ended up taking NAW and dropping Rui. Green and White have een picked up from that list. Just FYI.
