Hello sir, thank you!
I liked reading your analysis on the bottom. I like to do the same as well with those four stats. And you certainly nailed the defensive stats. Love the Drummond/KAT combo. With the boatload of guards assists are extremely strong as well. You only have 4 bigs on your team but they can rebound. It'll be a strength of yours, and I'd throw another one in there at the pick you missed to ensure no one comes at it. You do have people who can hit threes and there are enough solid shooters from the line to level off Dre, but JRich (a little early for me), Rubio and Isaac are going to bring that fg% way down. This is a pretty strong team and I'd feel confident in getting one of those cats to fall each week. Holy damn, that's a boatload of should be drafted guys left in free agency. I'd scoop any number up now in the empty 13th spot. I wouldn't even mind dropping Teague for one with how your roster is, but he has trade value and you should look into shipping him out with someone else. Everyone on that list is worth a spot. Clarke and Collins are my favorite late-round guys of the group, but NAW might help you the most. I'm shocked that Gasol got that much disrespect! He'll help you across the board.
Yeah, Collins was a reach and I'd much rather have the elite stats that Drummond gives you. Hindsight being 20/20, you're gonna want that one back as Dre is handmade for the team you built for (Fg%, Reb, Steals, Block). You should have about 4 guards to fill the spots, but if that's not enough for you then I'd take a look at Thybulle. He looks like the perfect guy to take a swing at for your strategy. I think you had an overall solid draft in getting what you were trying to do, maybe a few guys higher than you'd have liked, but still good enough, but the season is ultimately going to come down to Embiid and George. How long is George going to take to return and will the team take it easy on him throughout the season because of the dual shoulder surgery? And Embiid, well, we all know his story by now. And it doesn't look like that is going to change anytime soon. This is a good team at full strength though, hopefully it'll be there more often than not.
So five keepers put this in a bind as to value in relation to where you drafted players, as they're clearly going higher than normal but who knows who was there. BTW you crushed it with those late keepers damn. This team is obviously loaded but the 8 man nature tempers things a bit. Sadly you still got the worst pick of the bunch, but it is what it is. Adding ORB to the stat pool puts an emphasis on rebounding and big men in general, which is lacking in the first few picks. It's hard to say there's any weaknesses in a league so shallow because the teams are all loaded. But nitpicking I'd say another shot-blocking big will help and more shooters. The assists are already punted and bigs are more valuable than guard in the league, so I'd continue to stack up on that end. And yeah, Teague doesn't help you in a punt assists strat with orb's added.
One too many reaches for me. Rich is too early for me, and I get the Isaac at 61 he won't be coming back, but Teague is way too early. Wright and Ross have been going later as well. Collins and Bam were solid, but the majority went too early for me. And with Kuzma out, for now, there's an empty spot with Klay already on IR (assuming). he team can shoot threes and get steals, but it's not for me. The best way I can put it is that I would certainly want a do-over.
Cheers for the breakdown Santino!
Just to clarify though (sorry I should have mentioned), I was 10th pick and I traded away my 2nd (#19), 4th (#37), and 9th (#122) round picks for the #7 pick overall.
So my draft actually looked like:
#7 Dame Lillard
#10 Kawhi
#38 LaMarcus Aldridge
#66 Valanciunas
#75 Dipo
#94 JaVale McGee
#103 Kanter
#131 Bazemore
#150 Nerlens
#159 Will Barton
#178 Tyus Jones
Also, I did manage to grab Pizza Guy, Jordan Clarkson, and Richaun Holmes off the wire to round out my roster.
How deep is the league? And the first 4 went great. Jrue's value rockets up with Zion missing about 30 games now. I'm not sure who's still available but if Clarke is, I'd pick him up. You have a solid team around the board with not many weaknesses. You have the defensive stats covered well and have solid rebounders. Another one would help. Treys could improve as well. But assists and boards look good along with having good %s. It's a solid team that sits good, not great or bad, but good in a lot of things. It's a fighter for the playoffs.
Let's hope for a speedy PG13 return. Your treys and steals are going to be elite, along with ft%. Those two will also keep you among the tops in scoring. Boards aren't great, but not too bad. Blocks are a punt. You could use another SG to fill the roster on certain days, and another big man would help as well. If you can get another rebounder/scorer, and shore up boards, it'll be tough to beat you most weeks when you're at full strength.
You'll need PG13 healthy, but when he is you're going to dominate steals and threes. Ft% is going to be among the best as well with the king of the free throws leading the charge. There are enough assists and blocks to win weeks as well. That gives you your five targeted stats. Boards should be your next target, as it's the best chance of the rest, along with points even though there are lower-level scorers with the studs. Your bigs aren't known for their rebounding, I'm looking at you Brook and Ibaka. You'll need to find guys to shore that up, and luckily Batum (yes it was a bad pick at this stage) can be replaced with another rebounder. Before that injury opened the door for PJW to take advantage he looked good, but now the Hornets should not be going back to him and stick with their young lottery pick in the lineup. Thybulle is another that is borderline but is worth a hold for now while George is out. He can potentially replicate George's elite steals which you need. You should have an open spot with George on IR, meaning you have two pickups. I'd go with Portis and Grant with the list you had.
Fantastic draft. You absolutely crushed it and got value everywhere. In a snake draft, Bam would go in the 5th, CP3 in the sixth and those are money picks. And a relative to draft spot J Rich as a bench player? Wow. All three of those free agents should be on rosters, but you honestly don't have an obvious drop. Job Well Done!
Ouch, the last pick in a 20 man snake draft. That hurts. Prayers up. A big heavy team that should be great on the boards and blocks. Your fg% looks pretty strong with minimal turnovers. You have a few treys, but nothing that'll stick out against other teams. Likewise for assists that just aren't there. Points aren't there either. Steals is your swing stat and that's what I'd target the most. It looks pretty solid as is, but keep attacking there. I'd drop Layman for Holmes unless Thybulle was somehow there then that's your money steals guy.
I'd target steals with that team. Fultz has big steals potential. There's not 260 players I'd take over him.
WOW. You crushed this auction draft! Klaw as your third-best player and it didn't hinder the rest of the team at all. Mitch for $7? Carter for free? Bam for $6? Christ. You need a better league, my friend. The worst pick you made was Harris for $24 and that's only because the rest of your picks were insanely cheap. I don't know how you can be unhappy with Mitch, Bam, and Carter for a grand total of $14. This is an insanely talented team and I'm just flabbergasted how all these guys went for pennies on the dollar. Then looking at the guys you said is still on the wire, I'm confused even more. You really don't need to stream, nor do you need Nance with what you have. He should be on someone's roster. FVV should be your target and I'd take him over, Harris.
Ahh taking over another team, that's a hit or miss. And even though you didn't get a first-round player, you still did pretty well to make up for it with those three and Kemba, Bam and LaVine, and Mitch to start with. That's a strong and deep top 7, especially in a keeper league. Those are some falls for a few, great job. Carter and both Bridges as well with Wright. I really like what you did with this team and the handicap of taking over a new team. Frankly, they needed you to do that to keep it competitive. Your rebounds and blocks look great. Assists and steals are strong. You have a plethora of scorers. This is a well-rounded team. Oh yeah, and then there's that KD fella just waiting in the dark until next year. Smooth.

My weakness is BLK so I got Time Lord as my flier pick and a block specialist. My strength is FT% and points. I plan to start Smart so STL is also secured. FG% and TO should be good too. Decent in REB and AST. May need 3’s but I’ll see.
Thanks in advance. Your comment will be highly appreciated.
