Yeah, I have no idea what Yahoo! is doing with their positional eligibility either but it's way off. Hi, Santino once again. 20 mn is super deep, and I wonder how many players you start on the daily? If you go with traditional positions then Schroder makes sense as you literally needed a warm body for the spot, but if not I think you could have waited. You can get steals and treys and Mitch alone will give you a leg up on the majority of teams in blocks. If JRich takes a few more efficient shots then fg% looks like strength as well. You should also be amongst the leaders in turnovers with non-ball-dominant guys. A lot of matchups will come down to games played in this league and let's hope Klaw doesn't miss too much time. At this point I'd let assists burn as you have and try to get another big like you mentioned. He doesn't have to be a good shot-blocker either. On a regular playing field, this is one of the stronger teams.
On second thought, PJW is a good pickup. Maybe not the big you wanted, but he's going to be a solid producer.
Hey Santino,
Thanks a lot for taking the time to do this! Super cool of you guys to set this up!

We start 6 with daily changes. Will be aggressive on the waiver wire for a PG that could give me some stl and treys if Schroder doesn't work out and hopefully they add Richardson PG as Brown has said he will be playing point with the second unit. In that case I could roster another big if someone pops. Looking at Tyus Jones maybe over Schroder but not sure how much he plays. Could he play 26 mpg? If so he could be a top100 player. Who you like for what I'm going for when it comes down to those 2?
Took me a minute to see everyone haha. What type of league is this? Gotta be a 10 man. It's strong as a 10 man, and if it's anything more then wow. Mitch or DLo in the mid-5th is great value. All the way to Carter at 8 it's a strong team. You got late value too in White and Warren. This is going to be a strong team in many cats. Blocks would be something that I would look to try and improve and another rebounder (maybe the same guy lol) but this looks like a strong team throughout. I'd guess Harkless or Barton gets dropped for Warren.
An auction draft? That's impressive. It looks almost like a normal snake draft, which hasn't been the case a lot on here. I like the balance of the team a lot and it looks like one of the better ones. Even more so now that I am seeing PG13 down there, wow. Now it looks like a great snake draft. With everyone bumping down a round. This is a very strong team in assists, treys, points, steals, and free throws. You have enough to win boards on some occasions, but yeah you're lacking on big men overall with minimal blocks and your turnovers won't be too good. But, when you are at full strength it's going to be hard to beat you in your go-to five cats. You have enough to facilitate a trade for another big, but you don't need to feel obligated. This was a strong overall draft, and even more impressive to get this collection of guys in an auction.
Good day to you to man!
Wow, I've previously said that Kawhi is a risky first-round investment for the load management potential, but the back end of the second? That's a no-brainer. Kyrie fell to 3 and Ayton to back four. Wow. Ok, I have to admit that I started typing before I looked at the full team to say that and now sneaking in on the bottom are CP3, Conley and RoCo. You only have 12 players just a heads up. But Now that I am fully through the team. HOLY Crap. Isaac and Oubre are your "worst" players!? What. You absolutely destroyed this draft. This cannot be a 10 man league there's just no way. It's okay without the SG right now, there's no way to pass up all of this insane value. Forget the positions at that point. I'd recommend trade or pickup but if you got Isaac that late then there's gotta be FA's in your league with impact ability that I would be missing if I went in the 150 or so range. If you wanted, you can trade for a multiple stars with the depth that you have and stack your starting lineup. Incredible.
Well, this team can certainly score in BUNCHES. Threes are elite, and your assists and steals are strong as well. As long as Westy's ft% bounces back (I think it will), then that's another strength of yours. The big man stats are something that you'll struggle in though, with no shot-blockers and just a few big men they'll be hard to win it. Westy and Harden are also going to crater your turnovers, though the rest of the team is pretty solid there and might make up for it. You could use another big man, and if you can get your hands on a shot-blocker it would be great. But if not, focusing on winning those big five will have to do. As far as the transaction, PJ gives you more blocks and boards which are things you need, but I'd take a chance on NAW for now. He's the more attractive target and could make for better trade bait. With Zion out, there are minutes to be had for him to stake his claim on a bigger role.
Thanks so much Santino, really appreciate your input! 🙂
Can't go wrong with Harden to start the team. LMA fell pretty far and was quite the snag there. As was Brogson and Jonas' freefall. Those are fantastic values and really put you in a great spot for taking Conley and Mitch a little earlier than usual. I think you had a great draft overall. Kleber and Marv aren't exciting in the least bit, but at that point, it's more of a crapshoot. I'd see if I could replace them for something on the wire. Maybe give Kleber until Powell returns though. In all, this is a strong team for a 14 man draft. You'll be pretty strong in ft%, treys, blocks, steals, points, and assists. That's 2/3 of cats already. You can find rebounds as the year goes along, but this is a good team. You did well around the horn in a deep draft. Good job.
That's great value for Simmons, and he's one of the perfect fits with that strategy. You don't have a top 15 guy, but you have a few in the top 40. You have people who are going to ger boards and assist, with some blocks and steals. FG% looks pretty strong as well, and you should be solid at turnovers. It's not an ideal team, but it gels together pretty nicely and you can compete in the majority of cats with no bad bids. The middle round way worked out in this one. How well you do weekly in each will tend to fluctuate, but you have a lot of avenues to get a W in a deeper league setting which is what you are hoping for.
You got KAT at five, so you definitely didn't blow that pick. Fox and Vuc make for a solid/standard top 3. LaVine and Lowry are solid here, it's pretty much where they are going. Same for Bagley and Isaac. I would have preferred more defensive numbers from Kanter's spot, and I'm just generally lower on him than most even before the Celtic's C job became possibly fluid. Ross and Wright aren't flashy picks, but they have solid floors and are a bit underrated. Ross has typically gone later than this, and you could have waited on him. Like I said, he's become undervalued. The bench doesn't inspire too much confidence with all that has been going on. Overall you have scorers and that'll be your money KAT (I couldn't resist). Rebounds are going to be strong, as will steals. Treys are pretty good and your %s are alright with a lot of goods and ehhs mixed into both. You've got some guys for assists as well. I don't think you nailed it, but I don't think you blew it either. You have enough to fight with and some young players looking to take another leap forward.
Wow those first five rounds went perfectly. Also, by the way, there are only 12 guys. One of the starters missing. As of now it looks like round 6 and back is a round earlier than you would like to see but I'm pretty sure there's going to be another guy in there that went in the 6th and I'll operate like that is the case. Strong overall draft. You got value throughout and have set yourself up to be strong in assists, threes, steals, ft% and fg%. harden will always keep you good in points too. Another rebounder and shot-blocker would be a nice investment and I wonder if that's the guy who's missing, but the team is strong. The bench could be improved. Hield would fit nicely, but your team can shoot the three ball already, I'd look to get another shot-blocking big as mentioned. If you did want him badly, you could do some variation of Collins and try to get someone else with him back.
Hi Everyone,
Stoked that the NBA is starting back up again! My team is listed below. I'm in a 10-team 9-Cat league that somewhat competitive. I had the 10th pick in the draft. For context, I listed the round in which I drafted the player.
At first look I feel that my team is gonna be strong in FG%, FT%, Reb, Ast, Stl, and TO. I should be okay in PTS, but will be weak in in 3PTM.
Bradley Beal 1
Jimmy Butler 2
John Collins 3
Chris Paul 4
Eric Bledsoe 5
Tobias Harris 6
Jonas Valancunias 7
Wendell Carter 8
Gordon Hayward 9
Montrez Harrell 10
TJ Warren 11
Gary Harris 12
Rudy Gay 13
Blocks and steals are going to be awesome. Assists, treys and boards look pretty solid with potential. Not a lot of big men but Drummond eats for two. Your %s don't look too good though. Mitch was a steal that late, but Cov, Bryant, and Rubio all went too early. It ended up as a solid team but leaving you too many reaches comes back to hurt. NAW will bost your treys and is a solid investment for a team that has defense covered. I'm a fan of a few guys, but ideally, you want to refrain from reaching and get them at a better pot, that's where the value comes in.
