I like this team. You are very well-rounded and ready to compete across the board. It looks like this is more of a free agent question it's always good to have the last few spots on your team identified. I'd say Reggie Jackson, barton, Zubac, Porter and Zubac in that order would be how I would drop them. With the Nuggets guys waiting to see how the rotation plays out. Its extremely deep and they haven't named a starter yet. Zubac provides big man stats but he's also looking at minutes in the low 20. RJax is just boring and they brought in competition. It's a standard league so you don't need to dive too deep into the free-agent bin yet, but Washington is worth a look for now.
Hey Santino! Wonder what you think about my Roto team. Haven't played Roto in a long time.
This is a 14-team Roto league. I picked 5th.
Guards: Devin Booker (24), D'Angelo Russell (33), Ricky Rubio (89), Marcus Smart (108)
Wings: Giannis Antetokounmpo (5), Miles Bridges (80), Taurean Prince (145), Matisse Thybulle (164), Jarrett Culver (173)
Bigs: Thomas Bryant (52), Jonas Valanciunas (61), Zach Collins (117), Kelly Olynyk (136)
What do you think?
Team #2 that I drafted....this one is a 10-team 9-cat Roto League. I had pick #3.....couldn't believe how late some guys went. It is a league where most players only have one eligible position, so centers go for a bit more of a premium.
G- Kyrie Irving
G- Mike Conley
G- Buddy Hield
F- Anthony Davis
F- Jimmy Butler
F- Montrezl Harrell
C- Mitchell Robinson (the one center that REALLY dropped....got him in the 6th round!)
C- Enes Kanter
Util- Chris Paul
Util- Miles Bridges
Bench- Joe Ingles
Bench- TJ Warren
Bench- Kevon Looney
Bench- Derrick White
Do I leave Bridges in as that last Utility guy, or am I better off with Ingles or Warren....or even Looney as I feel like I am a little short on rebounds?
Let me know what you think of my team. 12-team, 11-cat h2h league (ftm and 3p% are the add-on stats). I picked 2nd. Thanks.
(2) Davis
(23) Vucevic
(26) Ayton
(47) Conley
(50) CP3
(71) SGA
(74) T. Bryant
(95) Rubio
(98) Carter Jr.
(119) Delon Wright
(122) Winslow
(143) Osman
(146) Dwayne Bacon
The end product looks pretty good, but the mid-rounds loo like you went one round too early on a lot of guys. Still, the FVV, Ross, and Satoransky picks look good late. Thybulle is making his way onto standard rosters but unless he's getting consistent 20 mpg (which is hard on that team) he's more of a watch than hold. His preseason has been exciting and those defensive numbers are enticing but he needs the time. Overall your team can bang threes with the best of em. Steals, ft%, and points are other strengths of this team. There's little in the way of big men and that rebounds and fg% are going to suffer because of it. Turnovers look below avg. And blocks are pretty weak overall too, especially with Porzingis expected to miss at least 13 games. There's enough to compete and win 5 cats each week, but the lack of big men really back you into a corner. There's little room for error here.
I like this team much more than the other. It's a lot more balanced and overall more talented. Harden and Trae are an excellent pairing and likewise with Turner and Bam. You are well-off across the board and are going to be a tough team to beat in Roto as there's not really a weakness here to where you'll be at the bottom quarter.
Yeah, there's a lot more quality in bigs than anything else in the middle rounds. They go quickly when you get there. All things considered, you balanced your team pretty solidly here. You avoided wings and went with a big man/little man draft and it came out sine. Your assists are going to be strong and your rebounds should be strong as well. Steals and ft% look to be in good shape. You have some shooters and will be okay in threes, and have some people who can block shots as well. This is a solid team that has people in a specific area, and I'm curious on how you'll end up. You have the potential to go either way in here. it's not a dominant team, but not a bad one either. You'll be in the thick of the playoff race.
Wow, that's a lot of money for one guy, but the addition of an extra $100 to the normal budget makes it less of a hit. I wonder what the rest of the top five went for. I would have paid an extra 20-30 to get one of them instead of Kawhi at that price. Drummond is a steal at $69 (relatively speaking with the info I have). I like your 2 big guys and think Bam was a steal as well at that price. SGA went cheap as well. I like some of the cheap guys you have on the team, but the team isn't relatively deep if you look it in snake draft form. I think you splurged on Klaw and if this was an NBA team I'm all for it he's a top 3 player no question, but his load management makes it less than ideal to splurge up to get him in an auction. The "turn" is dreaded for a reason, but you paid up to get in on the turn. If Drummond was your best player at $69, this team would have had the funds to add a lot more middle-round impact players. It's still a solid team for a 14 teamer though. Your strengths lie in blocks, boards, fg%, and steals with lower turnovers.
Hi Santino,
Loving your stuff. Keep up the great work.

I think I'm light on assists so I'm trying to claim Pizza Guy and Jordan Clarkson off the wire.
How many teams are in here? I'm going to analyze it, but the number of leagues and league type is crucially important for accuracy. Love your keepers. Fantastic value for each of them. Bam is basically free, insane. I can tell you went with the older, less "sexy" guys to start, but they both went for solid value. A keeper league makes it a bit harder, but Donic and Bam are locked in for the long haul at those prices, so you have one open spot left in which you can tinker with if needed. I'm less high on some people than my fellow associates here though. I have some stock in Bridges but he went for $3 less than LMA, that'd be a pass for me. I'm a lot lower on Lamb than most, but I can see why people gravitate towards him. I think those two took a chunk out of your remaining budget and you settled for a few cheap guys who are borderline rosterable for standard leagues. Zeller has the job, but he's always hurt and really isn't good. Thybulle's potential is incredible, but he doesn't have a path to minutes right now (enough minutes) and it'll be hard to hold him for a season in a standard batling for reserve minutes. I think the top half of your team was budgeted great and you built yourself a solid competitive team, but those late middle-rounds went a little pricier than ideally needed. Your team certainly isn't flashy, but it's dependable. Your assists are going to be awesome and you have people to compete in the majority of cats, though there's not others that stand out as bad or great. It's a solid team that'll be better on the floor than on paper, but it's not one that fits my personal cup of tea.
I'd love your thoughts on my team and how to improve it for a standard 12-team 9 category roto league:
7: Damian Lillard (PG)
18: Jimmy Butler (SG)
31: Chris Paul (PG)
42: Mike Conley (PG)
55: Kevin Love (PF)
66: Jonas Valanciunas (C)
79: Kelly Oubre Jr (SF)
90: Miles Bridges (SF)
103: Javale McGee (C)
114: Cody Zeller (C)
127: Danny Green (SG)
138: Davis Bertans (PF)
151: Kent Bazemore (SG)
I know I'm extremely low on rebounds and blocks, but all the centres went really early and I didn't pay enough attention to that during the draft.
I'm thinking about dropping Bazemore for Maxi Bleber, Tristan Thompson, PJ Washington, or Ruchaun Holmes. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Hahaha, you guys added Techs do the equation that's hilarious. And thank you for the kind words!
There's nothing wrong with going with your heart and I have nothing wrong with Towns at #1 either. There's a case to be made for everyone in the top 5 to go in the top spot. If you have a preference, go with your gut! That's rough with the Zion news. Mid 30 was his absolute floor (to draft him at) and he was going as high as the mid-teens. This was standard, but now who knows, they're going to be extra cautious with him as you can tell with the vague timeline and updates already. Your 2 Pgs are 40/50/90 guys and make a great combo.
You have a lot of shooters late and that is going to be a strength of yours along with great %s. Your defensive stats and rebounding have potential, but a lot has to do with getting a healthy Zion back and seeing what he could do there. If his lines aren't strong on that end, it'll hurt you, but if they're good he'll fit in nicely with some of your complimenting players. Assists should be good and you won't have too many turnovers. You have a pretty solid all-around team for a league this deep, and we can only hope Zion returns soon. He's not ideal for a second pick (this deep is okay though) and any time missed from there is big. I agree with you about the #1 pick though, it's not ideal. The top 5 are all similarly elite that i'd take any one and would rather be at pick 5 than one for the remainder of the draft. I'd throw in Bron and Joker as my preferred cutoff in the first as well. Jokic in sort of a 1B tier.
Hi, Santino once again. Just drafted in my 20 team league. Got the 8th pick. It's 9-cat H2H.
8. Kawhi Leonard
33. John Collins
48. Mitch Robinson
73. Josh Richardson
88. Kelly Oubre Jr.
113. Dennis Schroder (Needed at least one warm body at my PG spot)
128. Taurean Prince
153. Norman Powell (for the first night, then will rotate Free Agents)
Hoping Yahoo adds PF to Oubre and Prince sooner rather than later. I feel I should have grabbed another big but some guys were just falling in my lap so I just went with them. Will sort it out later.
Thanks.
Thank you, much appreciated! It's been crazy on here haha
