Thank you very much.
@nate-vidot This is one of those teams that might be too good for a normal write-up.
You’re strong across the board, so it’s hard for me to recommend any changes. In a roto league, my only concern is that you are maximizing your output at all times, and I’m fairly confident that this team will be able to do so well enough to be relevant in all categories.
There are some concerns with players like Capela, Conley and Hayward which may or may not be substantiated this season. Each of them is worth rostering in any league if they’re active. That’s a longer way of saying no, you shouldn’t drop Conley yet. It’s entirely possible that he ends up falling out of the picture (at least for the short term) but I’d prefer to wait and see with a player that is so reliable in several categories (AST, FT%, STL, TO, 3PT). While I expect you to be solid in AST with Murray and Paul, I’m not so sure that you’re far ahead enough to take the risk of losing there. The STL boost isn't bad either.
I don’t hate the addition of a player like Stewart to this team for his ability to bolster your BLK and REB without really draining your FG%, FT% or TO. However, I’m not sure if you need his help with four centers already rostered. I’d stay put and wait for an IL slot to open up or for the unfortunate circumstance that one of your picks bombs. The truth is, I’m not sure if that will happen with this solid roster.
Embiid carries your FT% to respectable levels while also making you a contender in BLK, PTS and REB. Aside from Edwards, your team isn’t full of notable scorers, but they’re likely to combine for enough PTS to beat the average-to-good teams with regularity. The same could be said of BLK and REB, which is carried by two double-double threats and could be bolstered by the up-and-coming Jackson this season. Based on last season’s output you’re 0.1 RPG behind, but I expect this team to surge above average while leaning on Capela and Embiid.
Hold steady! You’ve built a strong squad.
@srosefort I feel like I have to name someone to drop now! I’m not sure I can, but just know that I’m looking at Jones to start with. You've got a lot of bigs though.
Strengths: BLK, FT%, REB, STL, TO
Weaknesses: AST
Mid: FG%, PTS, 3PT
Players that are good at your strengths: Davis, Jackson, Porzingis, Rozier, Smith, Tatum and Trent
Players that are bad at your strengths: Carter, Finney-Smith, Haliburton, Jones and Maxey
Players that are good at your weaknesses: Haliburton, Jones, Maxey, Rozier and Tatum
As far as I can tell, you’ve got five solid categories. Depending on how some of your young guys turn out and if Trent can sustain his production with my Raptors, you could be a solid PTS and 3PT team as well, although I am less convinced on those fronts. That could be a matchup-dependent option for you to explore if someone competes well with one or more of your strengths.
One of your young players that I would not be focusing on is Jones. He could very well earn a standard league-worthy final rank, but he’s likely to have the bulk of his value in AST, STL and TO. In order for you to convert PTS and 3PT, for example, you may need to consider replacing him with someone that is more likely to produce above-average value in those categories. Given his high ADP, I’d be willing to bet you could find one or more willing trade partners.
The handcuff of Jackson and Smith is a fun pairing that should yield interesting results. Those two will have a heavy impact on your final results if they start to reach their potential this year. At least you’ve improved your odds of striking gold, even if one or both strike out. I’d be a little concerned about overcrowding at center with this team, though. Are there two starting spots or multiple utility spots? You have five centers on this roster and two of them always play at the same time. I like them all, so there’s no immediate recommendation. It’s just something to consider if you’re looking for ways to create extra value.
While he won’t help with points, I think Matisse Thybulle is an ideal target for a small forward. If you want to focus on a more offense-oriented player, you could look at guys who may have slipped through the cracks in drafts like Bogdan Bogdanovic, Cam Johnson, Evan Fournier, Kelly Oubre, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Lu Dort and Tim Hardaway Jr.
@dballbball ayeee thanks man! I actually dropped jackson for horford. and I dropped dfs for Tari eason. But that's a pretty good idea to get rid of Jones for a sf. I'm going to put him on the block. Thanks man.

Where do you think I need to improve?
Any input would be greatly appreciated:
It's a H2H, 9 cat, 10 team league, 14 man rosters.
Not sure if I should try to improve assists. Or just stay as is. A couple of names that are on waiver wire who I think I'd drop for Duarte to shore up big man stats are:
Jonathan Isaac
Brook Lopez
James Wiseman
Devin Booker |
Desmond Bane |
Mikal Bridges |
Isaiah Jackson |
Jakob Poeltl |
Bradley Beal |
Tobias Harris |
Tre Jones |
Jalen Brunson |
Ivica Zubac |
Herbert Jones |
Chris Duarte |
Pascal Siakam |
Anthony Edwards |
Just noticed it doesn't look very clear:
The potential pickups are:
Wiseman
Lopez
Isaac
My existing team starts with Booker
Thanks

This is the first time in a few years that I feel kinda self-conscious in my team. I don’t usually punt but with my first two picks I think I was going points heavy with maybe a slight punt towards ASTs. And then even more of an AST punt in my big choices. And then went jack of all trade types for the mid rounds and then whatever upside I could get in the late rounds.
kind of ended up with a team that seems pretty “meh” to me. Average across the board with no solid strengths. Might be a team more suited for roto than h2h. Thoughts appreciated!
@beetley Wowza! That’s a lot of roster. My first double-review! With apologies, I’m going to skip my usual format so I don’t fill the page with a wall of words. By all means, follow up with more targeted questions if there are any.
League 1: This team should be solid in efficiency stats (FG%, FT%, TO, 3PT) while falling a bit behind in PTS and REB. I like your potential in AST with your point guard core, but there is a deficit in other areas of your roster. I’m not extremely confident in your competitiveness in BLK, but I do believe you’ll have your fair share of weeks, thanks to Hartenstein, Mobley and Okongwu. On the other hand, I’m fairly firm on your ability to be a consistent threat in STL. By my count, that gives you either six or seven categories to attack regularly in matchups. Without advocating for a punt in the other two categories, I will say that you can afford to make sacrifices there if it makes you more confident in other categories. Johnson is an absolute steal in the last round and I will personally be very upset if you even consider the potential of dropping him. Unfortunately, there’s nobody above him on your roster that I think is particularly expendable either. I think you’re going to have to wait until the season has kicked off before “the next move” shows itself. Regardless, this team should compete without any additional moves.
League 2: I’m sensing a theme here. You’re a fan of Brunson, Cunningham and Horford, right? These are some great players to build a team concept around, since they’re complimentary in multiple areas. That’s a pretty hefty bid for Lillard, so I hope it pays off. I’m inclined to believe that paying nearly half that for Cunningham will seem better in hindsight. Ditto for the other All-Star level players that you got in the $15 range, since Allen, Barnes, Beal, Brown, Middleton and Porzingis are all very likely to return early round value. The injury risk is worth the reward on a squad like this, as I have every player on this list projected in the top-75 on my personal list. There is absolutely nothing I can, should, or will recommend if I trust my own rankings. Your best categories should be BLK, PTS, STL, 3PT and FT%. I’m not sure about AST or REB on this team and your FG% will be all over the place. Stashing Jackson on the IL will give you a chance to find some extra value on the wire, and I’d look at players like Bogdan Bogdanovic, Caleb Martin, Cody Martin, De’Anthony Melton, Dillon Brooks, Jaden McDaniels, Kelly Oubre, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Malik Beasley, Norman Powell and Patrick Williams.
You’re off to a great start in both leagues. Best of luck for this season!
Hi!
I’d appreciate if you can give feedback. Actually I’d love to hear which player I should try to trade for synergy purposes. My main concern with the team is that I’ve couple of older fellas thay may cause missed matches.
