Hey Dan!

Looking to add one of these dudes Dieng, Chriss, Mirotic, and Oubre. What I really need is more points, rebs and to a certain extent FG%. The players that I can think about dropping is T. Booker, Nance, RHJ or even WCS. WWDD?? (What Would Dan Do?)

Thanks!

Hey Dan

Just finished reading an article on Jason Terry with added playing time(stupid coach). What's your thoughts on Brogdon this evening.

How many minutes do you think he will get and how many shot attempts? under 12 points?

@Big T - you win the 'Dan loves you now' game! Thanks for the follows. Draymond side. Dray could easily move up into the top-20 by year's end. I just traded for him in a league myself and I feel GREAT about it.

@ameen - Impossible for me to say, but I'd reckon he gets into at least the high 70's. Problem is that a few rotten days can almost take you out of the 80's for the year. I'm going to say he finishes the year at 78.2%. It's a total guess, but it'd be sweet if I was right, huh?

@gurena - LaVine. If Zach was going to be out another 6 weeks, I might say Tatum, but LaVine is due back in about 3 weeks. And after another couple weeks from there, he could easily be a top-40 guy the rest of the year. Chicago is truly rotten. Picture LaVine from last year, but without KAT and Wiggins next to him!

@Auron - Well you know I love Niko, but he's not going to be helpful in FG%. At all. I'd ride with Trevor Booker until RHJ comes back, and then drop Trevor for Niko.

@Spartacus - I LOVE YOU SPARTACUS. Sorry, had to do it. Brogdon is in trouble. No way around it. Kidd gets his 'unthinking cap' on, and weird things happen. Right now, Malcolm is getting pushed aside while Bledsoe settles in. I think he'll come back around before the year ends, but he's probably a benching candidate for games cap leagues.

Trade advice please dan?

Offer came in of his Taj Gibson, Collison, and Batum for my RoCo and John Collins.

I would make up the numbers by not picking up Ibaka off the wire.

Dan, I enjoy your podcast, but I do wonder: when you say someone is a hold, must add,etc what is the default type of league you are referencing? I play 10 team, 8 cat roto. It seems that you and Bru often are referring to 12 or 14 team leagues? Are your recommendations for roto, head to head...?

Thanks for being the hardest working man in fantasy!

Dan,

Are there setting in the forum to display newest at the top?

This thread is good but would be better as a RCLLRB - Reverse Chronologocal Lightening Round Besbris.

Fingers are getting sore from scrolling so far on the phone.

I’ve got nance! But after last night and with what’s happening with whiteside would ilyasova/belinelli or Olynyk be better options for the rest of this week?

Thanks again

@Joseph - That's nearly impossible because they each are contingent on something else. Chriss, I guess, holds his fate in his hands, because he's a fatty now, but Niko's fate rests at least partially on Markkanen and Portis, and Olynyk's on Whiteside. I'm going to rank them if things break RIGHT for each, so based on UPSIDE, I'd go Niko, Chriss, Olynyk. But based on safety, it's Olynyk, Chriss, Niko.

@Keiran - Keep RoCo. Don't trade down. Also, I kinda wish this thread had PAGES. I'm going to suggest that to the tech team for HB v2.0.

@steve - Thanks so much for respecting the effort! I really want Hoop Ball to succeed, and the best way to make that happen is to out-hustle the competition! Yes, most of my recs are for 12-team, 9-cat leagues; in a 10-teamer, a lot of bubble guys are droppable. I played in a 10-teamer, and the key is to basically mortgage the farm to get your hands on as many top-25 guys as possible, since the waiver wire is stacked.

@Rashby - Olynyk is the best option while Whiteside is out. Nance is a nice, safe, top-90 guy in 24 mins.

It is my first time playing categories league, so I'm wondering about the right strategies
Play in a 10 team, 11 cat league. Should I try to win every categorie, or should I give up on some to improve the others.

Right now my team suffers a lot in ft%, blocks and turnovers, since I have guys like Payton, Nurkic and Towns.

Should I just trade my high percentage ft guys and the blockers and try to win the others, or would you try to equilibrate things?

I was thinking about a Kevin Love + Isaiah Thomas deal for Ben Simmons + Rudy Gobert to deal my good ft% for other stuff.

Hello Dan,

Any concerns in connection with L. Nance? Does he have top 80 in him (8 cat)?

Markieff is available on the wire.

Thank you

@deki - Collins and Isaac ... Chriss looks so, so lost. He very well might get it going in a couple months, but he's far away from it now.

@brenno - I try not to give up on any categories until it's late enough in the year where there's truly no chance, but it definitely requires threading the needle a bit. I feel like late December/early January is the right time to make those types of calls. For instance, last year I ended up giving up on points in a league I did eventually win ... but if I could have even gotten 3 or 4 points in that category instead of just '1' it would have been a TON easier to win my league.

@joseph - 8-cat? No. His low turnovers are a source of value. He's a top-90 guy in 9-cat, and probably more like 125 in 8-cat.
