Tyler Johnson managed just three points on free throws and went hitless from the field in a 34-minute start on Tuesday for Goran Dragic (calf).
Backup point guard Beno Udrih (neck) was also out and this became a referendum on Johnson’s ability to play point guard, and though the Bucks are a spider web of arms and legs we tend to agree that his ball-handling skills need work. Johnson added four rebounds, one assist and two steals and the Heat were short-handed, so there is some context for this dud and yet it illustrates that he’s nowhere near consistent yet. If you’re betting on him as a stash, you’re hoping the good outweighs the bad and that he gets continued injury assistance.
