Dwight Powell started the second half of Friday’s game against the Blazers for Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles), who did not return to the game.
We haven’t heard anything to the effect that this is serious but we’ll definitely be monitoring his status. At some point he has to start being human and yet he has proven everybody wrong so many times. If you’re in a deeper league and have some dead weight, Powell could be worth a look. Justin Anderson is somebody we’ve pegged for late-round value on the year (including some upside). He has started the year off predictably slow but this could also get him going.
Looks like Dirk Nowitzki will not start the second half for Dallas. He's been battling an Achilles injury.

Update: ‘Lingering’ is never a great word. And that’s a plugged in Dallas writer, too. No need to locate the panic button, though.
The lingering soreness in Dirk's Achilles tendon might make tanking a non-decision for Dallas.
