John Collins was supremely effective in 27 minutes off the bench on Friday, shooting 7-of-8 from the field and finishing with 16 points, nine rebounds, one steal and one block.
Collins needs to be rostered in all leagues, so make sure he hasn’t slipped through the cracks since returning from his injury. He’s primed to grab hold of a starting frontcourt spot this season and is a top-80 guy on the year despite mostly bench work. Miles Plumlee got the starting nod tonight but played only 19 minutes and didn’t do anything of note. The rebuilding Hawks know that the rest of this year should be all about Collins.
