Hassan Whiteside played 37 minutes in a loss to the Celtics to finish with 27 points on 10-of-13 from the field to go along with 5-of-10 from the line, 17 boards, two dimes, two blocks and two turnovers.
Whiteside was almost nonexistent in the first half because of Brad Stevens double-teaming him every time he touched the ball, but finally turned it on in the second half to finish with those gaudy numbers. His 5-of-10 from the line is disappointing as we expect him to hover closer to 70% on the year. He’s a top-30 player currently and can build on it with more blocks and improved free throw shooting.
