The Warriors exercised the third-year contract options on both Omari Spellman and Jacob Evans, guaranteeing them through the 2020-21 season.

Omari Spellman was traded to the Warriors from the Hawks in exchange for Damian Jones. After failing to exercise Kevon Looney's third-year option, the Warriors will likely be more cautious with their young talent. It is a rebuilding time for the team so it is possible for Spellman to play significant minutes at time this season although he is behind Willie Cauley-Stein and Kevon Looney on the depth chart.
