Steven Adams scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds, but failed to register a block in 34 minutes of action against the Indiana Pacers.
Adams has so far not yet lived up to the preseason hype that surrounded him. That said, the breakout potential still remains. He’s not known as a post-up scorer, but more of a high-energy defender, so don’t expect his scoring to make a huge leap. He’s still capable of playing at a higher level and is worth a value-add kicker with some upside in a multi-player trade in fantasy basketball. He’s still a buy-low candidate for now, but calibrate your offers to not end up overpaying for him.
