Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg says Dwanye Wade will only play 10-12 minutes in the preseason opener against the Bucks according to ESPN’s Nick Friedell.
Hoiberg also said that the other Bulls starters will be on limited minutes as well. This is just a precautionary move to ensure the Bulls’ key players are healthy when the regular season begins. Wade posted averages of 19.0 points, 4.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game last season with the Heat but his production is expected to drop this season with the Bulls. He will likely take a secondary scoring role behind Jimmy Butler but he still carries value in the mid-to-late rounds.
