D’Angelo Russell struggled in Tuesday’s preseason opener against the Kings, scoring four points on 2-of-8 shooting with five turnovers.

Russell added three assists, two rebounds and three steals in 25 minutes in the 103-84 victory. This game is an example that there could be some ups and downs during his second season. There have been countless reports about Russell’s strong summer and conclusions cannot be made after one preseason game. D’Angelo is a high-upside pick in the middle rounds.
