2024-25 NBA Draft Guide: Per-Minute Monsters

  • One of the most fun tools to use while studying player projections is looking at per-36-minute stats. They provides us with an idea on who could be a breakout candidate for next season in a larger role. Granted, this should be taken with a grain of salt, as situations can change at a moment’s notice, and there are very few players who see their numbers scale in true linear fashion. Still, if there ever was a scenario when these players could receive more playing time, there’s a chance that these numbers below could come to fruition.

Below, I have curated a list of 20 players who finished inside the top-150 ranking of per-36-minute value in 9-cat scoring. A lot of these names have somewhat of an opportunity to shine next season if things were to break their way.

The following table shows the players’ per-36 ranking, their games and minutes played in the 23-24 season and then their per-36-minute production. These numbers are technically considered to be their ceiling — if not well over their ceiling in a real, regular role — not their actual stats, so please don’t go reaching for these players on draft day and expect the numbers from the table to pop up every night.
