How’d We Get Here?

The Jazz were at the center of trade rumors this summer as they fielded offers to see what Lauri Markkanen might fetch in a trade, but ultimately decided to re-sign their best player. They were able to add some good players at the draft table, with the versatile Cody Williams headlining the class and a pair of surprising slides leading to good value in Isaiah Collier and Kyle Filipowski. The Jazz won’t be contenders in the near future but with Markkanen in place for next season (he’s untradeable because of when he put pen to paper) and some improvement from Keyonte George, Taylor Hendricks and Walker Kessler, you can see how the Jazz have charted a course forward.
