How’d We Get Here?
The Cavs were a shell of themselves by the end of their playoff run as a tough first-round series took its toll and they limped out of the postseason with a few key injuries. They’re back and feeling refreshed, and some of the guys have a much larger bank account for good measure. Cleveland had perhaps the quietest offseason in the entire league, with only veteran addition (on a two-way contract), a bunch of re-signings and departures from only the bottom of the roster. Their one move of note came behind the bench as Kenny Atkinson is taking over for JB Bickerstaff, who fell on the sword despite the Cavs picking up their first playoff series victory since LeBron James was in town.
