2024-25 NBA Draft Guide: 12-Team, 9-Cat H2H Mock Draft

By Timothy Woodson Published October 12, 2024 Updated August 19, 2025 1 min read

Another year, another mock draft. The 2024-2025 NBA season is here, and I’m cramming as much draft practice as possible to be prepared. Before we get started, I must admit that I mock…. a lot. I love the idea of getting creative with pairing players together, analyzing the numbers, imagining all of the “what ifs.” I’m glad to say that it has helped me in the past, so why stop now?

In this draft, I got the chance to secure the 4-seed in a 12-team H2H 9-cat mock draft. Standard leagues are my favorite, as it feels like there’s a good balance across all teams and with some sneaky value still available on the waiver wire. I did this mock draft on the Wednesday right after the Yahoo board was rearranged. There are some new value plays that we can hunt for just based on placement alone.

When it comes to mock drafting, I always like to “go with the flow”. Let the board come to you. I got some fun results in this one because of that, and they’re definitely worth discussing.
