The 49ers are coming into 2026 as one of the most interesting stories in the NFL from a fantasy perspective. The 49ers have a mix of out with the old and in with the new as well as a lot of players looking to have healthy 2026 campaigns after an injury ravaged 2025. That includes quarterback Brock Purdy who missed half the season with a toe injury and tight end George Kittle, who tore his Achilles in the playoffs. With the departure of Jauan Jennings and the impending departure of Brandon Aiyuk, the 49ers boast an almost entirely new receiving corps with Ricky Pearsall as the lone holdover. Christian McCaffrey had a CMC like 2025.  Are the Niners cursed or are the last handful of injury-plagued seasons merely a string of bad luck.  They are an elite offense in spite of the injuries, finishing 2nd in FPPG at RB, 5th at TE and 8th at QB.  With a retool at WR, they are going to need someone to stay healthy this season.  Evans is likely done as a fantasy asset, suffering hamstring injuries in b2b seasons.  Pearsall has all the promise in the world, but he’s played 20 games in his two-year career.  He looked poised to breakout last season, finishing with 100+ yards in two of the first three games.  Now, nearly forgotten and going as the WR45, the upside is deafening as Evans is injury prone and superstar TE George Kittle is coming off an Achilles tear.  There is a world where Pearsall doubles his TS% (9.7) and destroys anyone in his path.  There are few players in all of football that are more tantalizing.
