Quarterback
Jalen Hurts – Eagles – Lungs – Hurts missed Sunday’s game due to a blood clot in his calf suffered in Week 5. On the Eagles’ flight back to the United States from London, the blood clots had traveled from his legs to his lungs and will miss the remainder of the season. This is a devastating blow for fantasy managers as the quarterback of one of the best fantasy teams in the league. Tanner McKee and Joe Milton are the two quarterbacks the Eagles have now and it will be interesting to see who starts for Philadelphia moving forward as McKee struggled against the Panthers, but Milton has a big ceiling. This will impact the fantasy values of Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith. The player it could help is Dallas Goedert. He’s gotten 17 targets the last two weeks and all the sudden has become a high end TE2 with TE1 upside.
Lamar Jackson – Ravens – Ankle – Jackson has missed the last two and a half games due to an ankle injury suffered late in the first half of the Ravens’ Week 4 win over the Titans. Head Coach Jesse Minter said Jackson could potentially practice this week so it will be something to monitor. If Jackson can’t go again, it will be Tyler Huntley getting another start against the Bengals. Huntley struggled against the Browns but he will have some stream appeal against a Bengals defense that has been very hit or miss so far. If managers aren’t comfortable with Huntley, Aaron Rodgers, Sam Darnold, and now JJ McCarthy or Jameis Winston could have streaming value.
