Week 16 of Streamer Tidd-Bits is definitely a weird one, and that’s primarily because we’ve only accrued four days of stats from when I wrote last week’s article. Sure, roster rates have changed following last Sunday’s FAAB run, but that’s about it. Additionally, I’ll be on vacation by the time you’re reading this and because of other life commitments I’m doing my writing on Monday instead of my usual Thursday night session. This means that rotations aren’t solidified yet, but we have a week’s worth of games and therefore the less rostered starters in the Main Event will definitely be pitching next week.

Now we’ll move on to a quick recap of our most recent round of picks that we have to review this week, and let me emphasize the word quick. I say that because between our merit-based adds from the week of 7/1 – 7/7 and our matchup-based adds from the week of 7/8 – 7/14 all were losses, not good. Randy Vasquez was one of our matchup-based recommendations and although he wasn’t a win, he pitched very well against a much more dangerous opponent (the Braves) than the one he was projected to face (the Mariners). On the other hand, Martin Perez ended up only getting one start instead of his projected two and of course it was the less favorable one and ended up being a dud. Hayden Wesneski’s two start week went pretty well, but his game against the Cardinals really ruined his line. I hope you sat him for that one like I did. And if you added David Festa (I did say to not break the bank) you were definitely disappointed. He only received one more start before returning to the minor leagues. The six strikeouts over five innings were nice, but the ERA and WHIP definitely weren’t. With all of that out of the way, I hope you all enjoyed the All-Star game festivities and whatever break from fantasy baseball you had. Now we kick off the second half of the baseball season with our recommendations for the week of 7/22 – 7/28.
