I know it’s hard to believe, but we are almost at the midway point of the baseball season. With the way things have been going for Streamer Tidd-Bits lately, it’s going to be a long rest of the year. Our Merit Based and Matchup Based ratios both took a beating thanks to our latest round of recommendations that we will be reviewing this week. Overall, we went 1-3 but that is thanks to a technicality. If you streamed our lone victory (Ryan Feltner Matchup Based 6/3 – 6/9), I really hope you needed the strikeouts because the rest was ugly. Feltner had a two-start week but the damage done in his home start against the Reds really overshadowed the good he did against the Cardinals. But hey, a win is a win. Our other Matchup Based recommendation, Austin Gomber, didn’t get blown up against the Cardinals but he didn’t meet any of our win thresholds either.

Our Merit Based recommendations from the week of 5/27 – 6/2 were even worse. Ryne Nelson and Jose Quintana had almost equally ugly stat for lines for their three starts, and with no wins to show for it. As I’ve been saying in recent weeks, the starting pitching talent that is widely available in the Main Event has been really poor and I don’t expect that to improve any time soon. Maybe the return of some injured starters (e.g. Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer, Gerrit Cole) will result in some backend talent getting sent to the waiver wire upon their returns, but that is not something I’m holding out hope for. Alas, here are the detailed results of our most recent recommendations, as well as those for the week of 6/17 – 6/23.
