Streamer Tidd-Bits 4/15 – 4/21

    Welcome back to week two of Streamer Tidd-Bits! At the time I am writing this, three of last week’s recommendations have already pitched, and so far the returns are looking pretty good. As I said last week, we will be reviewing our picks on a two-week lag so we’ll have to wait a little longer to see how our first recommendations panned out. Before I get into this week’s picks, I want to elaborate a little more on the scoring system I will be using throughout the season.

    Last week I wrote that I will be giving myself a win if a starter returns either a quality start or registers at least six strikeouts. In addition to these two criteria, I’ve decided I will also give myself a win if the starter gets a win. This should’ve been an obvious milestone and was an oversight on my part when I wrote last week’s article. Additionally, after thinking about this some more, I have realized these benchmarks are more applicable to the “Matchup Based” adds. When I look for my “Merit Based” adds I am not looking at matchups. In the case of my recommendation of Ross Stripling as an add last week, I would not have started him against the Astros. And if you did happen to add Stripling, I hope you sat him. Since I want to be grading these recommendations using a larger sample, it may mean that I will have to review them on a three-week lag instead of two. When I sit down to write next week’s article I will make my final decision then. But with all of that out of the way, here are my suggested NFBC Main Event starting pitcher adds for the week of 4/15 – 4/21.
