We’re pretty much at the end of the season, so what better time to dig in deep on some dynasty risers and fallers? I decided to examine my personal largest risers and fallers from my August 2024 Dynasty Rankings to my March 2025 Dynasty Rankings just to see who improved their game the most or, vice versa, showed some serious signs of concerns.

I just didn’t look at the largest raw changes though. Instead, I examined the largest percentage changes from a player’s initial dynasty ranking in August 2024 to their current March 2025 position. This may mean that some of the players don’t appear to have substantial dynasty changes, but even going from somewhere in the teens to a top-10 spot can have greater implications. Next to each player discussed, I have written their current ranking from their initial ranking. For instance, spoiler alert! Cade Cunningham (to 10 from 22).

You probably have heard many of these players mentioned on various Punt Intended episodes over the season. However, I include further statistical depth that a podcast format does not allow, so you can truly appreciate the level of research and amount of work that I conduct in order to rank these players. This won’t be the full list, as I will be writing up a part 2 with additional players in the upcoming weeks. Without further ado, let’s get into the list!

Risers

Cade Cunningham (to 10 from 22)

I specifically have avoided discussing Cunningham in any dynasty article and on the Punt Intended podcast. Why is that? Perhaps I was a little dug into my take that his inefficient scoring (even factoring in his offensive load) would lead to less usage in due time and restrict some of Cunningham’s counting stats. I also partially discounted that an age-22 player still has plenty of room for improvement (although I will still contend that with normal development, Cunningham would be a below-average lead initiator).

Whatever the reasons for my initial doubts, it’s clear Cunningham can at least handle this volume at a capable enough level. A CleaningTheGlass usage (which includes shooting, turnovers, and assists) of 36.6%, 3rd overall in the league, demonstrates just how much of a load Cunningham is shouldering for the Pistons. That has led to a gaudy pairing of 25.7 points per game and 9.1 assists per game, both of which are towards the top of league rankings. Anytime you can output strong points and assists, that will make for a strong foundation of a top dynasty asset.

Cunningham’s improvement as a shotmaker deserves a deeper dive. His shot location has never been that favorable. When you tack on a self-created shot rate that places him in the 98th percentile of all combo guards this season from CleaningTheGlass, Cunningham needs to shoot well on his attempts to have a beneficial FG% in fantasy.
