Happy Wednesday … unless you drafted Jeffrey Springs, who, if you somehow haven’t heard yet, is going under the knife for Tommy John surgery and will be out for the rest of 2023. Sigh. But I digress.
Let’s take a look at some of last night’s action and see who you might be able to find on the waiver wire to fill out your fantasy baseball rosters.
Taj Bradley SP, Tampa Bay Rays
The latest electric arm to come up from the Rays’ seemingly endless supply of pitchers, Taj Bradley, made a big impression in his first start against the Red Sox last week. After last night’s 5 1/3 inning outing against the Reds in which he gave up three hits, no runs, and struck out nine, you should be running to your waiver wire to pick up the 22-year-old. With the news about Springs, Bradley figures to remain in the rotation.
He’s rostered in 35% of Yahoo leagues and 10% on ESPN, so check to see if he’s available if you’re down a starting pitcher.
