The surprise rookie breakout keeps rolling. Davis Schneider went 2-for-4 last night with a double and his eighth home run in 25 games in the big leagues. He has a .370/.500/.815 slash line, totaling 20 RBI and 21 runs scored with a 251 wRC+. Unlike the rest of the Jays lineup, Schneider isn’t afraid to pull the ball. He’s pulling the ball at a 50 percent clip with quality contact, barrelling the ball at a 21.2 percent rate. This is creating lots of extra-base hits with his 55.8 percent fly ball and 26.9 percent line drive rates.
