Here are some names to help your teams over the next few weeks. It’s a well-balanced list that features an outfielder, starting pitcher and a closer. You’ll also see an infielder who is still producing (as he has all year) yet is still available. Let’s go!

Spencer Jones – OF – Yankees – 27%

Let’s get one thing out of the way first. Spencer Jones is a strikeout machine. He whiffed a ton in the minors and he’s doing it with the Yankees, too. The glass-half-full view is that at least his strikeout rate hasn’t been any worse in the majors than it was in the minors, so that’s a small plus.

The better news is that Jones has already hit nine homers and stolen nine bases in his first 214 plate appearances. Also, he is playing most days and could have a further boost in playing time if Trent Grisham heads to the injured list (possible hammy injury Friday night). The 25-year-old’s average exit velocity, barrel rate, hard-hit rate and bat speed are all among MLB’s top 10%. Not bad for a rookie, huh? I am kind of blown away that such a power-hitting profile is also accompanied by top 10% sprint speed. Those stolen bases aren’t an accident.
