We’ve got five quick-fire names this week to buff out your fantasy rosters, with three of the five rostered in under 5% of leagues.
Nasim Nunez – 2B/SS – Nationals – 5% Rostered
Nunez won’t give you much with the bat, as indicated by his .511 OPS, but his legs are categories league gold on a wild running and free scoring Nationals team. 13 stolen bases leads all of baseball, impressively only being caught twice, and his offensive numbers have been respectable enough against LHP that he even becomes viable as an all-rounder against southpaws; make no mistake, this is a steals play first and foremost.
Brad Keller – RP – Phillies – 17% Rostered
The logic is super simple here: Jhoan Duran is injured, and Brad Keller slots into the closers role. Unfortunately for the Phillies, they’ve been the worst team in baseball so far this season, so the save opportunities have been few and far between, but they won’t be this bad for ever. When the team turns it around, expect to see save chances come in droves, and if Duran hasn’t yet returned, Keller stands to be the main beneficiary.
