Mark Vientos – NYM – 3B/DH – 21% ESPN

When I wrote about Vientos a couple months ago, I mentioned the home runs would come, and they have, with 16 bombs in 246 plate appearances. What I didn’t expect was a .286 batting average, .341 on base percentage and a .904 OPS, all playing third base every day for the Mets.

To that point, it puzzles me why he isn’t owned in every league. He ranks second among MLB third-baseman in SLG, wOBA and WRC+ (all led by Rafael Devers), and with a 97th percentile barrel rate, the slug should certainly continue as the average drops off.
