• Let’s get into it.

    Top Pickups

This is the “general must-add” section regardless of the slate. If these players are being overlooked and remain chilling on the waiver wire, consider adding them to your squad.

    Nique Clifford (15%)

Clifford snagged 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, two triples, one steal and two blocks in 38 minutes. Clifford’s minutes are awesome and he is a simple volume play. He will hurt your FG% sometimes, but the counting stats should suffice.

    Devin Carter (9%)

Carter recorded 21 points, five boards, five dimes, one steal and one block in 36 minutes. Carter may be bad for efficiency and turnovers, but the role and opportunity is obvious. If you need a volume play, he is a volume play.

    John Konchar (5%)

Konchar had five steals, nine rebounds, three assists and nine points in 26 minutes on Sunday. Konchar has played 23 games as a Jazz, averaging 1.8 steals, 0.9 blocks, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 5.5 points and 0.5 triples in 25.2 MPG. That puts him top-95 per game for 9-cat, partially boosted by the 0.7 turnovers as he drops to top-130 per game for 8-cat. Ranking aside, if you need steals, blocks and decent rebounds, Konchar can be on your radar.

    Honorable Mentions

Consider this space a blend of “double-check to see if this guy isn’t available” and other noteworthy, but not quite top picks, including some names for deep leagues.

    Tre Jones (34%)
    Brice Sensabaugh
    (35%)
    Ousmane Dieng (21%)
    Cormac Ryan (0%)
    Rui Hachimura
    (10%)
    Luke Kennard (3%)
    Jake LaRavia
    (7%)
    Will Riley (27%)
    Julian Reese (6%)

Teams on Second Night of a Back-to-Back

Note: Teams on the second night of a back-to-back must submit their injury report by the release of the 4:15 pm ET Official NBA Injury Report.ย

    CLE, MEM, ORL

Cavs: Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley and Sam Merrill sat out on Sunday for injury management purposes. They should return on Monday, but you never know for sure until the official report hits.
There is a chance that James Harden or Donovan Mitchell could get an off night on Monday, since the Cavs might be fine with staying at No. 4 in the East, but I would put this as a 50-50 chance of happening. Mitchell had an ankle issue on Sunday, but he said it was nothing. Monitor that situation, just in case.

Max Strus should sit out on Monday after being available on Sunday.

Dean Wade and Jaylon Tyson should remain out:

Grizzlies: GG Jackson, Cam Spencer, Cedric Coward and Javon Small were out on Sunday. I have no idea if we will see them on Monday, but players available on Sunday who might sit on Monday are: Taylor Hendricks, Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Walter Clayton Jr. and perhaps others as well.

Jahmai Mashack is in concussion protocol, so we may not see him again this season, or maybe not until Friday at the earliest.
As I have said before, I doubt that Ty Jerome plays again this season.

Magic: Anthony Black and Jonathan Isac were still out on Sunday, so their status is TBD for Monday.

Considering Franz Wagner played on Sunday, I highly doubt that we see him on Monday.

Remember, being eligible to play doesn’t guarantee big or useful minutes for fantasy. Let us look at some contract stuff.

    TWO-WAY CONTRACT ELIGIBILITY
Remember, a two-way contract is a developmental deal where players must spend a chunk of time in the G League. That limits their NBA eligiblity.

Julian Reese = Eligible for four games

    !0-DAY CONTRACT TRACKING.ย
The Grizzlies have FOUR players on 10-day contracts:
Dariq Whitehead (first 10-day on April 3)
Toby Okani (first 10-day on April 3)
Lucas Williamson (first 10-day on March 31)
Adama Bal (first 10-day on March 28)

Whitehead and Okani will be around through the regular-season finale.
Williamson’s 10-day expires on April 10 and Bal’s expires on April 7, but both will be eligible to sign a second 10-day (or rest-of-season deal at that point). Whitehead had some pre-draft pedigree spoiled by injuries, but Okani, Williamson and Bal did not have impressive G League stats, so you probably don’t need to consider them, even in deep leagues.

Noting that the Grizzlies have four players on 10-day contracts is really more to tell you that their tanking tactics may go into overdrive this week, so trusting anyone might be difficult.

Other 10-Day Contract Situations to Know (via Spotrac):
Trevon Scott (BKN – first 10-day on April 2)
Kennedy Chander (UTA – second 10-day on April 1)
DaQuan Jeffries (SAC – first 10-day on March 26)

Note that since Chandler’s second 10-day expires on April 11, he won’t be eligible for the season finale on April 12 unless he signs a rest-of-season contract and that is very plausible!

Jeffries’ first 10-day expired on Sunday (April 5), so he can sign another, but he was out of the rotation for his last two games, so he may not be brought back.

Players Who Recently Signed Rest-of-Season Deals:
Malachi Smith (BKN, after two 10-days)
Ron Harper Jr. (BOS, was on a two-way)
Bez Mbeng (UTA, after two 10-days)
Less recent, but as a reminder, these players also signed rest-of-season deals:
Pete Nance (MIL, was on a two-way)
Jamal Cain (ORL, was on a two-way)
Killian Hayes (SAC, after two 10-days)
All of these guys are eligible for all the remaining games.

Recently expired 10-day players who were NOT re-signed:
Tyler Burton and DeJon Jarreau (MEM).
    Markelle Fultz (TOR)
    Omer Yurtseven (GSW)
Charles Bassey (BOS), but is signing a deal with the Warriors!

Burton, Jarreau, Fultz and Yurtseven are not on an NBA roster anymore.

Bonus Note: The Hawks waived Caleb Houstan to sign Tony Bradley to a rest-of-season deal, improving their center depth after the Jock Landale ankle injury.
