Outfield has gotten a bit top heavy this year.
With six of the top 15 picks in NFBC DC leagues since Jan. 1, the next four outfielders go in the next 35 picks.
If you are unable to lock in one of those top options, it might be best to wait a round or two before getting your first OF as waiting to pick 50 for your first outfielder might be something to happens to numerous managers this year.
Managers would also be wise to know how many starting OF there are in your league. If you are in a standard league with just three outfielders starting, then you can afford to not be so aggressive.
But if your league deploys five of them, then you would wise to be more aggressive to snag at least your first three within the first 150-175 of picks.
This list is primarily for roto, daily change leagues. This means some platoon bats might not be as valuable to you if you are in a weekly change league or are in a head-to-head situation. Or injury prone dudes might be pushed down for those of you in head-to-head leagues as they are more likely to cost you some Ls in any give week due to injury.
I will update this list throughout the offseason due to
- Spring training performance – Do we see a regression in things like bat speed or do they chase more than usual?
- Injuries – self explanatory.
- Announcements – some players we are waiting to find out where they are in the lineup or if they will be stuck in a platoon. Some have injury updates that may impact their ranking as well.

TOP-10 OUTFIELDERS (ON THE HOUSE)
Rank Name Position Team Analysis 1 Aaron Judge OF NYY He is one of the greatest of all time and is the no brainer for the top spot here. 2 Juan Soto OF NYM He has finally improved his lift to maximize his incredible power and now steals are something for him. May not get to 30+ again but he should be line for enough to put him in this spot. 3 Ronald Acuna OF ATL Performance in Winter Ball, especially in steals, gives confidence in his health as that is only thing standing in his way from being back to an elite fantasy asset. 4 Corbin Carroll OF ARI A more aggressive approach at the plate unlocked full power potential in 2025. 5 Kyle Tucker OF LAD He is going as a late first round, early second round pick and that makes him an abslute steal. New Dodger home means he can easily set career marks for Runs and RBI. 6 Julio Rodriguez OF SEA Entering his age 25 season means he actually has room to grow and get better. 7 Fernando Tatis Jr. OF SDP An improved hit tool entering age 27 season makes Tatis a pretty attractive fantasy asset. 8 Pete Crow-Armstrong OF CHC He showed improved contact inside the zone as he showed me enough in the plate discipline department for me to rank him aggressively. 9 Jackson Chourio OF MIL Can he finally get to 650+ plate appearances to rack up the counting stats to blow this ranking out of the water? 10 Brent Rooker OF ATH Elite power metrics as he improved his contact rate to over 70% in a good lineup with a good average to boot.
