This is the “general must-add” section regardless of the slate. If these players are being overlooked and remain chilling on the waiver wire, consider adding them to your squad.

Dru Smith (2%)

In a sense, the 28-year-old guard has benefitted from Davion Mitchell’s absence, but the minute count is definitely something he has received in past instances and now he’s putting it to great use: In the close win against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, he scored 11 points along with five rebounds, five assists, three steals and two triples on a 23-minute count. There’s no guarantees on who’ll be the main source of minutes in the point guard position for the Miami Heat unless a trade is done, but Smith has the edge right now due to his great defensive presence and better scoring abilities when comparing him to Davion. He’s so under-rostered in most leagues that you’re likely to find him on your wire, and depending on how deep your league is, he can be difference-maker for the week at the very least.
