Justin Herbert – Chargers – Hand
Herbert suffered a fractured hand on his non throwing arm and had surgery the the day after the Chargers’ win over the Raiders. He is currently listed as day to day and questionable to play Monday night when the Chargers host the Eagles. If Herbert can’t go Trey Lance would start and would not be start worthy. If Herbert can go, while he wouldn’t be a must start, would be worth starting against an Eagles’ defense that gave up a pair of passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown in its last road game.Â
Kyren Williams – Rams – AnkleÂ
Williams suffered an ankle injury in the Rams’ loss to the Panthers on Sunday but he did return to the game. Head Coach Sean McVay has said the injury should not impact his status for Sunday in a favorable matchup with the Cardinals. Blake Corum played well in his absence and is a must add if Williams can’t go but all signs are pointing to Williams being available for Sunday in a game the Rams need to maintain their small division lead over Seattle.Â
Woody Marks – Texans – foot/ankle
Marks suffered foot and ankle injuries in Sunday’s Texans win over the Colts but returned to action, which should not have too much, if any impact on his status for this coming week. The Texans travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in a must win game for both teams. Marks has led the Texans’ backfield in carries the last few weeks but the Kansas City defense is tough at home and this is not a must start spot for Marks. If he can’t go, Nick Chubb would take over number one running back duties and while it would be wise to add him, he is not necessarily someone to start.Â
Tyrone Tracy Jr. – Giants – Hip
Tracy suffered a hip contusion late in the Giants’ Monday night loss to the Patriots. He was taken off the field in a cart and did not return but the imaging results turned out to be positive. While it will not be impactful for Week 14 as the Giants are on their bye, it is certainly something to monitor for Week 15 when the Giants return to action. If Tracy can’t play, Devin Singletary would be the number one back and a priority add on the waiver wire.Â
Aaron Jones Sr. – Vikings – Shoulder
Jones suffered a shoulder injury in the Vikings’ loss to the Seahawks on Sunday and did not return. He is currently listed as day to day. All year Jordan Mason has filled in as the Vikings’ starter when Jones has missed time so nothing changes there but Zavier Scott would be a decent backup option as well as he did carry for 3 times for 17 yards in limited work so adding him as a handcuff would be a viable option in case Jones can’t go and the Vikings try to limit Mason’s work as the Vikings fall farther out of contention.Â
Amon-Ra St. Brown – Lions – Ankle
St. Brown suffered a low grade ankle sprain in the Lions’ Thanksgiving loss to the Packers and did not return. Head Coach Dan Campbell initially said he could miss a couple of weeks but with a normal week of rest and prep St. Brown has not yet been ruled out for Thursday’s crucial game with the Cowboys. If St. Brown can’t go, Jameson Williams will assume top wideout duties and with him completely rostered look to add Isaac TesLaa as he will assume the number two duties and with Sam LaPorta out, he could assume a larger role in the Lions’ passing game.Â
Parker Washington – Jaguars – Hip
Washington suffered a hip injury in the Jaguars’ win over the Titans Sunday and did not return. While the severity of the injury is not yet known and despite a breakout few games, it seems Washington was headed for a diminished role in Jacksonville’s passing game anyway. Brian Thomas Jr. and Brenton Strange have each returned in the last two weeks, along with the trade deadline addition of Jakobi Meyers. Washington is still worth rostering and potentially starting for his kick returning ability and capitalizing on even a more limited target share but beware of starting him moving forward.
Marvin Harrison Jr. – Cardinals – Heel
Harrison returned to action after missing two games due to appendicitis and suffered a heel injury. It is the same injury that one of Harrison’s teammates suffered and was forced to miss Week 13 as well immediately casting some doubt over his status for Week 14. If he can’t go, look for Michael Wilson to assume top wideout duties and be hypertargeted by Jacoby Brissett, and despite a bad matchup with the Rams, it makes him a must start if Harrison can’t play. For people that may have dropped him, Wilson would again be a priority add.Â
