Key Storylines

What to do with AD out: As Anthony Davis will miss at least a week with an abdominal injury, the Lakers need to find an answer in the absence of their main threat on both ends of the floor. Joining Davis as potential misses against the Wizards, LeBron James (foot), Dorian Finney-Smith (shoulder) and Gabe Vincent (knee) are all listed as questionable for Thursday’s match, with Rui Hachimura (calf) appearing as probable.

Expect the Lakers second unit to see a boost in minutes and usage with AD and maybe others being out against Washington.

It comes with being a Wizard: The 2024-2025 season has been nothing but rough for Washington fans, as it seems rather clear that no player in their team can be considered consistent. There’s no one on this team that can be reliable night-in and night-out, and that applies to fantasy basketball as well.

The likes of Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma, who were and are still somewhat considered the main players of this team, can have a tetric night at any time of the week. This concept expands even more to young prospects like Alex Sarr, Bilal Coulibaly and the rest of the supporting cast. While there’s always potential and availability when it comes to streaming opportunities with the capital city team, actual production is the less guaranteed thing at any opportunity.

Malcolm Brogdon (foot) and Alex Sarr (ankle) did not play against the Raptors on Wednesday, an their status for the second half of the back-to-back remains unclear.

Dalton Knecht had a solid game against the Sixers on Tuesday, and with the Lakers needing as many shot-makers as they can get, it’s his time to show up against the Wizards.
