2024 Dynasty Fantasy Baseball Top 100 Prospects – May Update

  • Five weeks into the season brings us our first Top 100 Prospects update, for May. More than 10 players have “graduated*” from the list and an equal amount are making their debut. Through the first few weeks of the season, we’ve seen a handful of top rookies absolutely shine (Jared Jones, Colton Cowser, Mason Miller, etc.), while others have faltered in their first taste of the big league limelights (Jackson Holliday, Victor Scott II, Colt Keith, etc.).Though most of the players on this list won’t debut before September or even this year, the fantasy baseball community is holding its breath awaiting a few debuts. Paul Skenes, James Wood, Coby Mayo, and Orelvis Martinez are a few of the top-ranked prospects I expect to see making their MLB debuts in the next few weeks.

Making the leap from outside the top 100 to inside are more young arms than you can shake a stick at, a top IFA getting the full-season treatment, and an even younger Chourio (Jaison), amongst others. I’ve written blurbs for the top 25 and might expand into the other 75 as the month goes along. If I didn’t write a blurb about someone you like, feel free to shout me out on X (@akfantasybb) or in the discord and I’ll be happy to provide you with my opinion.

(*graduated – For me, graduating from the list just means that they are currently on a big league roster. For fantasy purposes on sites like Yahoo and Fantrax, once called up, players are taken off of the NA list and minors roster, respectively, so they can contribute to your fantasy teams. As this is a fantasy-based ranking, I want to take that into effect. The players on this list, on the day it is published, are still NA or minors roster eligible)
