P Tanner Scott – LAD – 43%
Scott was dropped by many after Edwin Diaz returned and Diaz has done very little to inspire faith that he is the man for the job. His arm angle is way down to 15 degrees and the pitch shape on his arsenal is different, per Jack Harris of the California Post.
On Friday, Diaz did convert the save but after loading the bases with two walks and a HBP.
As of now, manager Dave Roberts says Diaz will remain the closer but the Dodgers are needing to win to get a first round bye and cannot afford to wait too long for him to get right.
Scott easily can reclaim the ninth real soon if DIaz doesn’t turn things around, and quick.
