The top middle infield options are littered with tons of shortstops while the second base position is not nearly as deep.
In fact, I find the second base spot to be the shallowest. There is not a clear, bona-fide top dude and a lot of the guys in the middle don’t have much separating them. Or there are players that are helpful in just one or two categories.
