Key Storylines

While Butler’s out, you can trust in Nikola: It’s no Nikola Jokic, but Nikola Jovic can be a decent addition to your squad as a streamer as long as Jimmy Butler (ankle) doesn’t play. He just had himself a 15-point game with seven rebounds and a steal in his 23 minutes of play. Not a superstar but more than respectable numbers for the 21-year-old, who’s definitely providing good value when the playing time is there. Outside of him, streamers in Miami are lacking, with Duncan Robinson, Josh Richardson and to a lesser extent, Kel’el Ware, Kevin Love and Haywood Highsmith.

Ausar Thompson is cleared: A key piece in Detroit’s present and future, the 20-year-old forward was dealing with blood clot issues and has finally been cleared to return to full basketball activities. Once he’s ready to play, expect him to take a decent amount of minutes as his talent is a standout in the Piston’s frontcourt. Meanwhile, you can trust in Isaiah Stewart and Malik Beasley as the main options to stream with Jalen Duren (ankle) missing time. Simone Fontecchio, Ron Holland II and Paul Reed could be viable depending on how deep your league is.

Nikola Jovic continues to be the target but Isaiah Stewart is the safest choice if Jalen Duren doesn’t play on Tuesday.
