    Key Storylines

Sneaky picks for Philadelphia: With Joel Embiid (knee, personal), Andre Drummond (ankle) missing the match against Charlotte and Caleb Martin (back) in doubt (or perhaps not, he is officially listed as probable), the 76ers have a good amount of choices you probably have available in the waiver wire right now. With the main two big men for Philly out, Guerschon Yabusele should see a lot of usage in the frontcourt, while KJ Martin and Ricky Council IV have stringed a couple games of nice production and usage. You can even have Eric Gordon receiving more minutes than usual but I’d advise to go with all the other previously mentioned options before him.

What’s left of the Hornets: Charlotte is currently a hospital thanks to the injuries of LaMelo Ball (calf), Miles Bridges (knee), Mark Williams (foot), Tre Mann (back) and Grant Williams (knee) all missing extended time or not being close to returning to the court. Although talent is the main thing the Hornets lack, there’s are good prospects for streaming in the coming week. You won’t want to miss Vasilije Micic, as the veteran international guard is currently the only playmaker available.

Alongside him, Nick Richards, Cody Martin, Josh Green and Tidjane Salaun should see enough usage to be useful, but be warned all of these players are very inconsistent, so there’s decent risk involved.

Update: Mark Williams has been listed as questionable for Tuesday.

Vasilije Micic and Guerschon Yabusele are the favorites to have the best production out of this match.

Alternatives: Nick Richards (points, rebounds, blocks), Cody Martin (points, rebounds, assists, steals), Ricky Council IV, KJ Martin (points, rebounds).

    Key Storylines

Giannis might need a wheelchair: The Greek Freak missed practice on Monday with a stomach illness according to the latest reports, but Doc Rivers expects him to play on Tuesday’s match against Detroit. While his presence is not in jeopardy still, stomach bugs can be a threat to playing ever since we got that Paul Pierce incident. It’s also a great time to highlight the crazy season Giannis Antetokounmpo is having with a 32.9 points (leads the league), 11.9 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.4 blocks line who would have him as a prime MVP candidate if Nikola Jokic didn’t exist.

As well, it’s the weekly time to remind everyone that Milwaukee sucks as a streamer source, as most of the players that produce something worth adding to your fantasy team, are already owned. If Giannis misses the match, expect Bobby Portis, Taurean Prince and Andre Jackson Jr. to have an uptick in minutes and usage.

Just because there’s options, doesn’t mean they’re any good: Cade Cunningham missed Saturday’s game against the 76ers due to a hip issue, and even though he’s status for this game is yet to be confirmed, he has missed the past four out of the last five games for the same reason. If Detroit wants to play it safe with the injury-prone playmaker, everyone on the team could see a boost in usage, especially Marcus Sasser. This doesn’t mean they’ll be confirmed to have a decent game though, as the Pistons support cast has been as inconsistent as ever.

Everyone outside of Malik Beasley, who is already out of streamer range for a decent margin of leagues, is far from a sure bet.

Update: Cunningham is not on the injury report.

    Stream of the Game

Malik Beasley or Ausar Thompson if available, but if Cunningham is set to miss the game, Marcus Sasser is a nice bet for points, assists and steals.

Alternatives: Taurean Prince (points, rebounds), Isaiah Stewart (rebounds, blocks), Tim Hardaway Jr. (points, 3s, steals).

    Washington Wizards @ Cleveland Cavaliers

    Key Storylines

Bilal Coulibaly’s struggles: The French wing started the season on a teardown, but has slowed down considerably over the past two weeks, so much so that his roster percentages are touching streaming ranges in some leagues. If you have the chance, I’d advice on picking him up as his potential is very attractive along with the fact that minutes won’t be lacking for him in Washington. It’s to be expected that a sophomore like him catches rough stretches of games, but he has done enough to convince that the improvements are already here and he’s a much better player than last year.

Twin Tower dry spell: Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen have been on an offensive mini-dry spell, as both big men have combined for 49 points in the past two games, and considering 24 of those came from Mobley against the Hawks on Friday, it’s safe to say they got some rust to shake off for the upcoming games. It won’t be an easy task as Alex Sarr and Jonas Valanciunas can put up a fight, but they’re both more than talented enough to put on a clinic against them in Cleveland.

    Stream of the Game

If available, I’ll bet on Bilal Coulibaly as a long-term piece in fantasy. Corey Kispert has been the most consistent member of the Wizards bench as of late, which is not saying much, meanwhile Cleveland can only offer Georges Niang as an interesting scorer.

Alternatives: Ty Jerome (points, assists, steals) – listed as questionable, Alex Sarr (rebounds, blocks), Carlton Carrington (points, rebounds, assists, steals), Kyshawn George (points, 3s, steals).

Orlando Magic @ New York Knicks
