Key Storylines

Jalen Duren is probable – He is still on the injury report and we have not gotten confirmation on him playing, so keep an eye on his status up until tip. But being listed as probable is a damn good sign. As with most players coming off an extended absence, the first game back is not totally indicative of how the rotation will break down but we can say with some level of certainty that the days of fantasy relevance for guys like James Wiseman and Marvin Bagley are numbered. When Duren is fully back into the fold, managers can expect solid mid-round value out of him.

Turning around – The Nets had lost five in a row prior to getting the Pistons on Saturday. They get them again and it will be another chance for players like Cam Thomas, Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson to try and right the ship. Thomas’ hot start to the year has cooled off and it seems like we will be getting late-round value out of him for the rest of the year. Johnson will look to continue his upward trend coming off a solid top-80 week, which is much closer to his seventh round ADP. Bridges has longer way to go for managers to see him justify his early-round ADP but two in a row against the Pistons will help as he put up a 29-6-7 line in the first game.

Isaiah Stewart is just over 40% owned in Yahoo leagues so see if he is available. He has been averaging 13.5 points, 2.5 triples, 7.0 boards and 4.5 assists in his last two games. Stewart’s spot is safe even with the return of Duren. Dorian Finney-Smith is more likely to be available in your league and can be streamed for points, treys, boards and some steals.
