Still won’t trust this team:ย Every time I’ve had the chance to call the Grizzlies a bad spot for streaming, I’ve been rewarded with being right. This team is not a good target to get production from the waiver wire and has not been for most of the season, at first because their rotation was insanely deep, and now because most of their main members get 90% of the team usage, which means about six players are actually useful for fantasy purposes.
Memphis reminds me of the New York Knicks, because of the way their starters take most of the fantasy production, however the Grizzlies don’t play their starters 40 minutes every game, they just don’t have as productive of a bench like New York, and that’s saying a lot. With a healthy roster outside of Brandon Clarke, who’s out for the season with a knee injury, I can only consider Jaylen Wells and Luke Kennard as barely decent options to stream.
What’s left of Charlotte:ย With the Hornets’ big list of misses that includes stars LaMelo Ball (ankle), Brandon Miller (wrist) and key members like Tre Mann (back), Grant Williams (knee) and Damion Baugh (hip) all out for Tuesday’s game and probably beyond, without counting the unclear status of Josh Green (shoulder) who is also currently out, while many might believe there’s opportunities to be had with this team, I’m not as stoked as the rest in the potential their streaming options offer.
Seth Curry and KJ Simpson have been the starting backcourt for Charlotte and should continue the trend against the Grizzlies, which makes them the best options for a safe stream and possibly the best ceiling as well. Moussa Diabate, Nick Smith Jr, DaQuan Jeffries and Tidjane Salaun could also have a solid game, but it’s a longshot in most cases.
Also, Miles Bridges has been downgraded to questionable.
Stream of the Game
KJ Simpson has had very solid games as of late and is the smartest pick you can make from a bunch of mediocre options.
Alternatives:ย Jaylen Wells (points, 3s), Luke Kennard (3s, assists), Seth Curry (points, 3s), Moussa Diabate (rebounds, blocks), Tijdane Salaun (points, rebounds).
