Key Storylines

Boston’s Kryptonite: The Heat tend to give the Celtics a tough time, but that can probably be said about any team in the NBA facing Miami, hence it’s ironic that they may have to get into the playoffs via the Play-In again. New additions Xavier Tillman Sr. (left knee injury recovery) and Jaden Springer (right ankle impingement) are both out, but neither player was expected to be in the rotation every night anyway. Besides that, the Celtics are healthy and should be ready to take on the Heat.

House of Bricks: Jimmy Butler (personal) has been listed as questionable. If he doesn’t play, Tyler Herro and Terry Rozier will have to step up. Speaking of those two, Rozier has only shot above 40.0% from the field three times in his nine games for the Heat and Tyler Herro had not been much better in recent times before two better showings with 46.2% and 66.7% from the field. Rozier is especially a buy-low as despite obviously having less work to do in Miami, he simply isn’t a sub-40% shooter from the field. Refocusing on Butler, if he is sidelined, we should see one of Jaime Jaquez Jr., Duncan Robinson or Caleb Martin stepping up into a starting role. It will likely be Jaquez, but the 12-team upside is a little lower than it would have been earlier in the season before the Rozier addition.

Stream of the Game

The best recommendation would be to hold your add for as long as you can to gather more information. If Jimmy Butler (personal) is ruled out, you should know the spot starter before fantasy lineups lock and they’d be the best bet. If you can’t wait, then you may as well just roll the dice with one of Jaime Jaquez Jr., Caleb Martin, Duncan Robinson or Josh Richardson in that order of preference.
