We are coming down the homestretch in roto leagues and head-to-head teams are (mostly) going into their championship week. Now is the time to find that added boost to your team and get an edge on your opponent.

The following names are widely available on the Yahoo platform (and two of these names are widely available on Fantrax, too).

Otto Lopez – 2B,SS – MIA – 9% Yahoo, 20% Fantrax

This is both a reminder, and a victory lap here. I have had him on my pickups at least once (probably twice, I can’t remember, honestly) and he just keeps on providing such solid production and remains heavily available.

Over the last 30 days (27 games, 112 plate appearances), he has a .314/.375/.490 slashline with a .374 wOBA, a 140 wRC+ and a .176 ISO. He has hit a couple of homers and stolen three bases.

On top of all that, he has an 8.9% walk rate with a season walk rate of just 5.5%. So as a young bat, this shows he is turning in better at bats as the season goes along. He has always had an excellent strikeout rate (17.3% on the year) and whiff rate (21.5%) so seeing the walks come around is gold, especially in OBP leagues.

He has a solid 7.3% barrel rate in this time and a very good 40.2% hard hit rate. While the batting average is not surprising as I originally touted him as an asset for steals and batting average, we are starting to see a little bit of pop out of the youngster and that is backed up by the increased barrel and hard-hit rates.

Go get this man.
