Insights on The Bay’s new rotation: Now that the new Warriors are settling in with their new star acquisition, Jimmy Butler, Golden State is set on their starting lineup including Buddy Hield and apparently, rookie Quinten Post. Assuming Jonathan Kuminga is healthy, is safe to say he should take Post’s spot in the lineup in his eventual return.
However, both Post and Hield are far from being glued to their current roles, with Moses Moody, Brandin Podziemski and Kevon Looney also in the play for minutes. Those three along with Quinten Post seem to be the only relevant streamer choices for the Warriors at the moment.
No Tari Eason on Thursday: After a very solid performance against the Suns on Wednesday (25 points, nine boards, four assists, three steals), the 23-year-old forward will not be part of the match against the Warriors as precaution due to his lingering lower leg injury. Regardless, he should be good-to-go once the All-Star break is over. Joining Eason, Steven Adams (ankle) won’t suit up either against Golden State, and it’s unclear whether Houston will also hold out Alperen Sengun after playing on Wednesday as a precaution due to his back spasms in the beginning of the week.
Adding Fred VanVleet (ankle) and Jabari Smith Jr. (hand), the list is big enough for Cam Whitmore to become a good streaming option once again, with Jock Landale too if Alperen Sengun is not available for the match. For deeper leagues, Reed Sheppard, Aaron Holiday, Jae’Sean Tate and even Jeff Green could come into play too.
Stream of the Game
Cam Whitmore is the least dangerous stream out of all this group, with Brandin Podziemski coming in second if you can stomach potentially bad shooting.
Alternatives: Moses Moody (points, 3s), Dillon Brooks (points, rebounds, 3s, steals), Quinten Post (points, 3s, rebounds), Kevon Looney (rebounds).
