Anthony’s Fantasy Baseball Week in Review – September 2nd

  • 3The week in review covers all the starts by the starting pitchers, what the bullpens did (saves, holds-wise), how did the offense perform (runs scored, walks, strikeouts) and who stood out with the bat, if anyone did. It’s pretty much guaranteed to be 3000 words or more and will cover pretty much every main fantasy statistic and impact players. And it comes at you every Monday.

Atlanta Braves – Max Fried was good in both of his starts (12IP, 9H, 6R, 4ER, 4BB, 11K); Spencer Schwellenbach toss two no-decisions (10.1IP, 10H, 2ER, 4BB, 10K); Reynaldo Lopez had a quality start (6IP, 4H, 1ER, 1BB, 6K), as did Chris Sale (6IP, 6H, 1ER, 1BB, 6K) and Charlie Morton missed out on one by one out (5.1IP, 5H, 3ER, 4BB, 7K). No saves, two holds. The Matt Olson revival continued (9R, 11H, 5 2B, 3HR, 11RBI), as he was the star of a Braves offense that scored 36 runs over seven games. They hit seven additional home runs (Orlando Arcia & Michael Harris II with two each; Travis d’Arnaud, Jorge Soler & Sean Murphy one a piece), stole two bases (Ramon Laureano & Arcia), struck out 76 times (Harris II & d’Arnaud 10 each; Marcell Ozuna 11) and walked 20 times.
