Anthony’s Fantasy Baseball Week in Review – August 5th

  • The week in review covers all the starts by the starting pitchers, what the bullpens did (saves, holds-wise), how did the offense perform (runs scored, walks, strikeouts) and who stood out with the bat, if anyone did. It’s pretty much guaranteed to be 3600 words or more and will cover pretty much every main fantasy statistic and impact players. And it comes at you every Monday.

If you have any questions, concerns, follow-ups or just want to talk fantasy baseball, hit me up on X/Twitter @akfantasybb.

Atlanta Braves – Bryce Elder (6.1IP, 5H, 1ER, 1BB, 7K), Spencer Schwellenbach (7IP, 6H, 3ER, 10K) and Charlie Morton (6IP, 5H, 1R, 2BB, 6K) all had quality starts; Chris Sale missed by one out (5.2IP, 6H, 2ER, 3BB, 6K), Max Fried had a start to forget (3.1IP, 4H, 5ER, 5BB, 6K) and Grant Holmes was okay over two starts (9.2IP, 10H, 4ER, 1BB, 12K). Joe Jimenez & Raisel Iglesias had a save each; three relievers had a hold. They scored 26 runs over seven games and hit 13 home runs (Matt Olson & Orlando Arcia three each; Marcell Ozuna & Travis D’Arnaud two a piece; Sean Murphy, Jarred Kelenic & Austin Riley one), stole two bases (Whit Merrifield & Eddie Rosario), walked 25 times and struck out 68 times (Olson had 11, Ozuna had 10).
