2025 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Vol. 4

By Anthony Quaranta Published September 30, 2025 3 min read

The NFL season is fulling underway, with another multitude of big time injuries that will sideline stars Malik Nabers and Tyreek Hill for the remainder of the season. Teams are starting to adjust the way they utilize their personnel, with players earning more playing time at the expense of others. Nows the time to fire away on the wire, some some clear options as well as some depth you should be eyeing earlier than the rest of your league. Had you been over the past couple of weeks, you wouldn’t have to fight for this week’s top priority.

The Crown Jewel

Woody Marks, HOU (31%) – If you didn’t listen to me two weeks ago, hopefully you’re in the 69% of leagues where its not too late. He seems to be the only real thing going right in H-Town. In each of the first four weeks, hes earned more touches and shrunk the gap between him and Nick Chubb, culminating in week 4 when he finally put touched the veteran 21-15. The Texans may not use their running backs that much every week considering they’ll play tougher opponents than the Titans who they were able to shut out. That doesn’t mean that we didn’t potentially witness a changing of the guard at running back here, especially considering Marks was more effective with his opportunities. (FAAB: 35%+)

Quarterbacks

Cooper Rush, BAL (0%) – Lamar Jackson (hamstring) is set to 2-3 weeks, meaning Rush will get a chance to try and keep three Ravens afloat. He played extensively last season down in Dallas after their starter got hurt. It was a mixed bag as you can imagine, completing anywhere from 52-74% of his passes for anywhere from 45 (!!) yards to over 350. The Ravens have talent around him to help him succeed, but going up against Houston’s defense next week is concerning. (FAAB: 1QB 0%; SF 10-20%)

Carson Wentz, MIN (8%) – Two games in a row for Wentz have seen improvement. He went from 15.3 to 23.2 points against the Bengals and Steelers respectively. The Browns defense is on tap for week 5, and they pose a whole different challenge. Still, the Kevin O’Connell offense is proving you can plug and play most anybody, so hes better than some of thr other backup options out there. (FAAB: 1QB 0%; SF 25%)

Dillon Gabriel, CLE (0%) – Right before getting ready to publish this article, we got word that the Browns are starting their first rookie QB of the season. Gabriel led his respective conference in completion percentage, passing yards, and passing touchdowns at various points over his five year college career. The experience is there, having played in at least 10 games in four of those five college seasons. Hes not much of a runner, but last year at Oregon he did have some success getting  20-30 yards on the ground, slightly boosting his ceiling. Things could get interesting in Cleveland, but Gabriel hopes that the buck stops here and there are no more QB changes in northeast Ohio. (FAAB: 1QB 0%; SF 10-20%)
