Marquese Chriss

PF, Golden State Warriors

Shortly after the Warriors’ loss to the Kings at Golden 1 Center on Monday night, team officials informed center Marquese Chriss that he had been waived.

Chriss signed with the Warriors in September. His contract would have become fully guaranteed if had not been waived by 5 p.m. EST on Tuesday. He showed some signs of life this year and averaged 7.3 points and 5.4 rebounds in 36 games. He will be eligible to sign anywhere as an unrestricted free agent should he clear waivers 48 hours after being released.
